Rumors about a romance between actress Haley Steinfeld and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen first began in spring 2023.
They also had dinner at sushi, taking photos of them at a restaurant posted on Facebook by sushi founder Michael Sinensky.
Over the next few months, their relationship blossomed privately. In July 2024, Allen finally confirmed their relationship and became the official Steinfeld and Instagram. He proposed to her in November 2024. They got married in May 2025.

Who is Josh Allen?
The soccer star once played at Wyoming University and was selected as seventh overall by the Buffalo Bills in the 2018 NFL Draft after a great performance as an MVP. The 29-year-old took several years to warm up to NFL life, then endured his reputation in an incredible 202o season, leading the team to their first division title and playoff victory since 1995.
Allen’s personal life is a big part of his story.
They first met as children and went to Sadie Hawkins dance together in high school, but didn’t start dating until college. However, they split in early 2023. Player fans said in May that he stopped following Williams on social media, but he still has some snapshots of his previous girlfriend on the timeline. Williams deleted all her photos and deleted them together with Allen.
When did Allen and Steinfeld start dating?
Steinfeld and Allen were first linked in May 2023, and according to insiders, people exclusively reported that they were “wandering around for a few weeks.”
“It’s new, but they’re having fun,” the source added.
Then, on the 2023 Independence Day weekend, the pair were seen in Los Cabos. They were photographed kissing in the water. Steinfeld was wearing a bucket hat and sunglasses, and wrapped his arms around Allen’s neck.

Steinfeld was photographed shopping with Allen’s Mama Lavonne on September 30, 2023. The shop shared a photo of Lavonne and Steinfeld posing with owner Lindsey Vega on Instagram.
When did Allen and Steinfeld go to the official Instagram?
Allen shared his first photo and on July 23rd she shared Steinfeld on his Instagram. “Next,” he writes. Steinfeld appears in the photos throughout his carousel.
Steinfeld is back in April, but also shared the same shot from Paris. She looks solo in the photo that Allen likely took. “We always have Paris,” she captioned a shot of herself.
Allen made a rare comment about his relationship in August 2024.
He posted a photo with Steinfeld, but Allen was not ready to publish about his relationship in early August. Reporter Kay Adams interviewed the Buffalo Bills quarterback on her Up & Adams show on August 2nd. Adams joked about his Instagram post, saying, “If it’s not Mr. Hardlaunch.”
Allen replied, “We love love.”
His teammate Dalton Kincaid came a little closer, saying, “I think everyone knows about it. I think Haley is great.”
Kincaid added his friend, “His number one rule: tell them when you love someone.”
Allen and Steinfeld were seen together at the pet adoption event in October 2024.
The couple made a modest appearance together at the annual Shaquille Family Pet Adoption Event in Buffalo, New York. It was hosted by Allen’s Buffalo Bills teammate Halil Shaquil and his wife Saylor Shaquil.
Allen was the center of attention in the footage that came out of him holding the puppy. Steinfeld was with him, wearing a blue baseball hat and a white sweater.
Steinfeld and Allen performed a couple costume for Halloween 2024.
On November 1st, Steinfeld shared a carousel of Instagram photos with Allen from Halloween night. They dressed up to circus performers wearing long red coats and black hats. In one photo, Allen and Steinfeld share a kiss.
Over Thanksgiving weekend, Steinfeld announced they were engaged.
In an Instagram post, Steinfeld shared a photo of his engagement to Allen and dated it in the caption: “11•22•24”
The photo was taken on a cliff next to a beautiful sea view. The actress leaned down and kissed him kneeling in the ring.

Steinfeld then had a “mini fiance Q&A” with Allen, first asking, “the most entertaining/crazier thing that happened that day (they) got engaged.”
He replied, “We were awake and preparing for brunch, and you jumped into bed and replied, “Can we marry you already?!? What are you waiting for?!” “Give me a little more time,” he replied. Little did I know what I was trying to suggest to you…”
Steinfeld asked Allen if he was “tensty” about his upcoming engagement as he seemed “very calm” all day.
“I was very nervous,” he admitted. “I think you were most nervous about learning about the proposal. It was difficult to keep secrets from you and keep secrets from you to the rest of your life. And songs came out over and over again throughout the day.
Steinfeld asked Allen if he “remember what he said when he fell on one knee.”
“I told you I couldn’t wait anymore. I said I couldn’t wait to start a family with you. I said your full name and I asked you very well.
She then asked him how she felt about being engaged. “It feels incredibly incredibly incredible to be engaged to someone special, loving, caring, gorgeous, fun and happy.
Steinfeld has promised to “get deeper into the details” in the future.
Allen praised his then-fiance for his success on the field in December 2024.
In an interview with the Associated Press on Wednesday, December 18th, Allen has recognized Steinfeld as a success and has become one of the forefronts of the NFL MVP this season.
“She’s played a big role,” the Buffalo Bills quarterback said. “Morale, support. When I go home, she is my biggest fan and my biggest supporter.”
Allen’s teammate, left tackle Dion Dawkins, agreed that the stability of Allen’s relationship would make a big difference to his play.
“When you’re in this world, and you and many people are pulling a lot of the sources of the roller coaster’s ups and downs. “That’s what I think is happening.”
Allen thanked Steinfeld for his acceptance speech from the NFL MVP.
On February 6, 2025, Allen received the Most Valuable Player Award in the 2025 NFL Honors in New Orleans. He kissed his partner and thanked her in his acceptance speech. He said via US Weekly, “Last time, my fiancé, Hailee. You were my rock. You were my best friend (and) I wouldn’t be at this stage unless it was for you.”

In March, Steinfeld stopped to talk to people at an event for Nexxus’ “Get HY” campaign.

On Thursday, April 3rd, Allen and Steinfeld attended an afterparty for the premiere of her new film Sinners in New York City. Steinfeld wore a stunning red gown with a clean neckline and heel. Allen wore a black look with matching slack over a blazer and a black t-shirt. Steinfeld plays Mary in the film. The film is set in a small town that was passed down by vampires in the 1930s. The couple didn’t walk the red carpet, but were seen in photos shared by the Daily Mail.
E! In an interview with Steinfeld shared how much it means to her to share the evening with Allen.
“It means everything,” she said. “I’m proud of him and everything about him, and I’m grateful to be able to share this with him every day, not to mention the season.”
Steinfeld and Allen got married in May 2025.
On Saturday, May 31st, Steinfeld and Allen married in a lavish ceremony in California. Page 6 posted a photo of her kissing at the altar shortly after being declared newlywed. In the photo, the stunning strapless white gown of the sinner actress is visible. She wore an elbow-length opera gloves and a white veil pinned to the updo.
Earlier that day, Gossip Instagram account Deuxmoi shared photos from the rehearsal. In this photo, Steinfeld wears a white lace mini dress with a white lace concealment featuring long sleeves and tie closures at the neckline. Allen wears a tan suit over a white button-down shirt and holds a white umbrella to avoid the sun. For his wedding, he was transformed into a classic black tuxedo and bowtie.
In a June 13th newsletter, Steinfeld shared details about the big moments, including an explanation of why it was a “no phone” event.
“I’m sitting here with Josh. We remember millions of times the best weekends of our lives,” she began. “I’m somewhere between wanting to share all the details and trying to get them closer to my heart. But Bo Society felt like the right place to share some of the love and magic that make up our wedding weekend.”
The actress said on her wedding day, “I felt like I loved every wooden vein in our gorgeous venue,” and when she wore her custom Tamara Ralph wedding dress, it was “the most perfect gown I’ve ever worn over my body.”
“On our wedding day, when I wore this dress, I actually lost my breath,” she explained. “I’ve never felt like myself, never felt more beautiful.”
And for Steinfeld, Allen “looked like all the dream man I ever had in his custom Tom Ford tuxedo, wearing a black cuff link and buttoned pleated shirt.
She continued, “The coolest thing happened after we got married. We walked down the aisle, “signed, sealed, delivered (I belong to you),” and it began to thunder. There is no rain.
The evening ended at 3am, with all my friends jumping into the pool in dresses and tuxedos. I didn’t jump (woman wearing feathers), but I took a picture. ”
Allen shared photos from her honeymoon in June 2025.
On June 17th, Allen published an Instagram featuring some of the honeymoon Polaroid photos he and Steinfeld took. “My wife’s ❤❤️,” he captioned the post.

On September 3rd, Allen said on his Fitz & Whit podcast about his marriage to Steinfeld:
When he appeared on ESPN’s Pat McAfee show on September 19th, Allen spent some time on his wife. Pat McAfee’s wife texts him during the conversation, screaming about Steinfeld’s role in Emily Dickinson, asking via McAfee is Steinfeld running the line with him.
“We don’t say we’re going to run the line,” Allen replied. “She reads all the scripts herself. She gives me some updates, but at some point she does some improvisational things. It’s pretty fun.”
Allen continued, “My wife, she is an absolute stud. She is the best, what can I say?”
