According to a press release, Oscar and Bafta’s elegant shorts follow 13-year-old Oscar (Yates) and “a desperate pursuit of attention to evil spirals.” “The short echo theme explored in Netflix’s ‘adolescent’ is firmly located in a global conversation about the dark side of identity, vulnerability and the arrival of age. ”

Following its premiere at the Holly Shorts Film Festival in August, “Clout” will tour cinemas across the UK in partnership with Everyman in November. Each screening is followed by Q&A with the cast, crew and mental health partners.
“Clout” was produced by Francis Chapman for Lindsay Cullen’s co-produced and Pimlico Pictures. Short has worked with the live mix and cinema and arts emergency of British charities in the hopes of triggering dialogues about youth mental health and online safety.
