Fox Sports has launched a new creative campaign for “Big Noon,” starring actor John Turturro. The campaign, titled “Everything Down at Noon,” is live on all Fox Sports social platforms, promoting the network’s college football game this week.
In the campaign, Emmy-nominated Turturro plays an obsessive college football fanatic in various videos, excites the game from the Michigan Jumbotron hideout. Throughout, he travels around the stadium, providing commentary on the sport and seasons, stalking announcer Gus Johnson, and enters the quirky pranks of avid fans.
“As a passionate sports fan who struggles with the slings and arrows of my favorite sports team, I enjoyed partnering with Fox Sports,” Turturro said in a statement. “We were all those people – we’re riding highs and lows, hanging down all the plays, and sports fans felt it.”
The first video of the campaign appeared on September 12th during a Friday football matchup between Kansas and Arizona. The subsequent videos will appear in social media and on television spots during the college football season and will air on other FOX sports properties, including the FOX NFL, FOX MLB, MLB Postseason and MLB World Series. “It’s all gone down at noon” is developed and written by Gary Van Dzura of Mullen Lowe and is directed by Brian Bilow.
“This campaign represents everything we support Fox Sports. It offers bold, authentic storytelling that connects fans, and a world-class creative team that resonates with audiences around the country.”
Turturro is currently nominated for an Emmy Award. He previously won an Emmy in “The Monk.” His other credits include the films Burton Fink, “Do the Light Things,” “The Big Lebowski,” and the television shows “The Night of” and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”
