John Oliver has made it clear where he stands amid a controversy that Bad Bunny is on tap for next year’s Super Bowl halftime show. Running down the recent headlines on the episode “Last Week This Week Tonight,” Oliver gave the “The NFL’ is controversial” Super Bowl halftime show to one of the hottest and most commercially successful people. ”

Last week, the announcement that the Puerto Rican rapper will be on stage on the biggest night of football warns that the Christineome Bureau, former campaign manager for President Donald Trump, will be present in the Super Bowl. In an interview with Benny Johnson’s podcast, Noem said that with every intention of “enforcing the law,” Ice is “in all places there.”

Bad Bunny has been openly spoken about the Trump administration and his thoughts on the recent ice attacks, confirming that he has decided not to add the US to the 2025-26 tour dates due to concerns about “my concert.” He also tackled the Super Bowl backlash with “Saturday Night Live” hosting “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend, and chuckled his hatred after thanking his true fans in Spanish.

“This week, we saw footage of a nausea all over the country, perhaps the worst thing that happened in Chicago, where federal agents handcuffed council members, threw tear gas canisters on busy streets near the school, raided the entire apartment and turned the apartment over,” Oliver said.

“But he continued, all of this was tough,” he continued. “One of the hopes was the strength of pushbacks from local communities across the country, and there was widespread protest against the ice.

Oliver concluded that Trump’s government and the ice “can’t hide the ugliness of what they’re doing now.”
