Joe Manganiello and Caitlin O’Connor are engaged According to TMZ, Joe Manganiello and Caitlin O’Connor announced O’Connor as their fiance during a speech at the San Diego Film Festival on October 16th. Manganiello and O’Connor first sparked romance rumors in September 2023, followed by their red carpet debut and confirmed their relationship in December of the same year.

Manganiello, 48, and O’Connor, 36, announced the news in separate Instagram posts on Friday, October 17th, sharing in separate captions that the proposal took place on Tuesday, June 24th. “💍June 24, 2025💍,” the couple wrote alongside a photo of them with their chihuahua Bubbles.
TMZ first broke the news, reporting that the Nonnas actor announced O’Connor as his fiancée during a speech at the San Diego Film Festival on Thursday, October 16.

A source tells PEOPLE that Manganiello and his new fiancée are “good people” and “things are going well.”
“They are very happy,” the source said. “After he broke up with Sofia (Vergara), he felt devastated and like a failure. He never thought they would get divorced. He was very hard on himself. He was just going to focus on work. Then he met Kaitlyn and they fell in love right away. He’s grateful for the second chance. He’s an amazing person.”
Manganiello first sparked romance rumors with O’Connor in September 2023, two months after he filed for divorce from ex-wife Sofia Vergara. The True Blood actor and O’Connor confirmed their relationship during their red carpet debut at the Children’s Fund of Armenia (COAF) gala in December 2023 in New York City.

A source tells PEOPLE that the two met in a mutual friend’s kitchen and have been “treating her like a queen” ever since they started dating. The source added, “They always love spending time together.”
The couple also went on a “kind of world tour” last year, visiting Italy and Finland to see Metallica, and also enjoyed a “very romantic trip” to Paris. Hotspots the couple reportedly visited included the Louvre, Versailles and the French Open.
In January, O’Connor planned the Magic Mike star’s 48th birthday, organizing a dinner with friends and family at Carousel, a famous Lebanese-Armenian restaurant in Los Angeles. A source said she even made a “custom-made Steelers cake” for the occasion.
“Caitlyn’s birthday present was a custom-made solid gold crocodile pendant,” they added, explaining that it was a homage to Manganiello’s One Piece character, Mr. Zero.

The couple spent Christmas in the Bahamas and secretly joined in the celebrations after leaving for New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas a few days later, the source continued. They reportedly watched the band Incubus perform on the roof of the Cosmopolitan Hotel before “ringing in the New Year with a New Year’s kiss.”
O’Connor is a host and actress who has worked for ArsenicTV and Maxim Magazine, interviewing celebrities ranging from Hailey Bieber to Post Malone. She has also appeared in Two and a Half Men, Key & Peele, Southpaw, and HBO’s Winning Time.
