Joe Jonas continues to deny drug use after fan footage of him fidgeting with his nose went viral.
The 36-year-old “Only Human” singer sat down with Esquire to give an all-new interview about touring with brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas, while also clearing up more than a few rumors about his alleged cocaine use.
“I’ve never touched cocaine in my life,” he told the magazine in an interview published on Monday, October 20. “But if I were to touch it, I think I could handle it a little more intelligently than if I were to do it on stage.”

Jonas’ comments come after a recent video of him picking his nose while performing live with his brothers on the Jonas Brothers’ JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour went viral.
In the clip, fans zoom in on Joe, who partially steps out of view to check his nose in the mirror. Alternating between his fingers and a black cloth, he tried to decide which tool was best to deal with his nasal problem.
Speculation was rife on social media, with users claiming the “Cake by the Ocean” singer had been using cocaine, which is usually snorted.
Joe hit back at the rumors and jokingly commented on the video. “lol Have you ever had a booger?”
Elsewhere in the Esquire interview, the Camp Rock alum said touring with his brothers (Kevin, 37, and Nick, 33) hasn’t helped his dating life much.
“It’s not easy to go out for coffee with someone when you’ve been doing five shows in a row,” he told the magazine.

The “Love Bug” singer also revealed that she no longer uses dating apps, adding, “I think Instagram and TikTok are apps, and that’s how I met some people.” He also claimed that he is “very online” so he can see rumors about cocaine and give his opinion on it.
Joe has daughters Willa, five, and Delphine, three, with ex-husband Sophie Turner. He and the 29-year-old Game of Thrones star were married from 2019 to 2024.
Over the summer, a source told PEOPLE that the ex-couple has “got into a really good co-parenting rhythm and figured out how to communicate.”
“There is now mutual respect and the girls are a priority,” the source added. “Joe and Sophie have had a surprisingly peaceful relationship and have maintained a friendly relationship across two continents. It’s not easy, but they managed to do it.”

And the British actress isn’t the only one of Joe’s past lovers who seem happy with their relationship.
Ally & AJ singer AJ Michalka recently told PEOPLE that it was “really sweet” to connect with Joe in a TikTok video set to a “potential breakup song” that was long rumored to have been written about Joe in May.

The 34-year-old, who has been in a long-term relationship with actor Josh Pence, told PEOPLE in September after a surprise performance in Los Angeles that same month: “It was so nice. He met[sister Allie’s son]Jack and we spent a little time together backstage.”
She later added, “It was a really great moment.”
