Jimmy Kimmel was found on his way to the lawyer’s office within 24 hours of ABC halting his talk show after comments about Charlie Kirk’s death.
According to photos obtained in the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” post, the host flashed a paparazzi grin on Thursday in Los Angeles.
He dressed up with blue long sleeve button-ups and was fitted with sunglasses for the trip.
Page 6 confirmed that Kimmel’s late-night show was off-air on Wednesday “indefinitely” after making comments about Kirk’s death on September 10th and “Magagang.”
“We hit some new lows over the weekend along with the Magga gang trying to characterise this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as something other than one of them,” the comedian said in an episode Monday.
The conservative Turning Point USA co-founder was fatally shot on an appearance at Utah Valley University and arrested for murder.
At the time, Kimmel, 57, expressed his sadness to Kirk’s family via social media, saying, “Can you just agree that shooting another person is a scary and monster, instead of an angry finger point?
“On behalf of my family, we send love to Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocent people who have been victims of meaningless gun violence.”
Meanwhile, an insider told the Daily Mail that the TV personality was “absolutely running through.”
Sources claimed that Kimmel “he didn’t even say anything so bad” about Kirk, explaining that he should be able to exercise his initial right to amend.
“It’s persecution and Jimmy has no intention of supporting it,” they shared. “And he has a lot of friends who would try to cause problems if he didn’t have a show all of a sudden.”
On Wednesday, Kimmel was given a list of requirements by Sinclair, ABC’s largest affiliate group.
Following the press release, he apologised to Kirk’s family and said, “We must make meaningful personal donations to the Kirk family and Turning Point USA.”
However, insiders told Deadline that Kimmel “don’t want to apologise for what he said.”
Kimmel’s show has been held at ABC since 2003.
