Jimmy Kimmel is “Absolutely f-King Livid,” where ABC pulled a late-night talk show out of the sky after his remarks about the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Sources told the Daily Mail that the comedian is keen to “break the relationship with (the network) forever” and is preparing to appear as a guest on Stephen Colbert’s talk show next year.
“Jimmy is upset with the decision to pause him and the show, and he is actively looking for a way out of his contract, so he’s not going to downplay this,” an insider told the outlet.
“This is the last straw and Jimmy is now trying to break his relationship with ABC forever.”
Kimmel, 57, and Colbert, 61, are said to be “trying to do something to fight together” against President Trump’s administration.
“They don’t want Trump to win at all in any way. This set an extreme fire by continuing to convey that under Jimmy’s ass and continuing to be realistic with themselves,” the source claimed.
The insider said Kimmel “he didn’t even say anything too bad” about Kirk’s shooting death, but if he did, it should have been protected by the initial amendment, including freedom of speech.
“Jimmy said he’ll fight this, not because he cares a lot about the show, not because he’s doing it, but because he cares about precedents. Can’t he comment on Charlie Kirk?” a source told the Daily Mail.
“It’s persecution and Jimmy isn’t going to support it, and he has many friends who would suddenly try to cause problems if he didn’t have a show.”
Sources even claimed that Kimmel would get many of his Hollywood peers to “stop the ABC show” including “The View.”
Page 6 contacted representatives from ABC, Kimmel and Colbert for comment but did not immediately respond.
On Wednesday, the spokesman told Page 6 that Kimmel’s late-night talk show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” aired “indefinitely” after he spoke about Kirk’s passing.
Right-wing political activist Kirk was shot dead on September 10th while speaking at Utah Valley University. He was 31 years old.
On Monday, Kimmel spoke briefly about the murder, claiming that Trump’s “Maga Gang” had used the killing as a move to score political points.
“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the Magga gang trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as something other than them,” he said live.
Following news of Kimmel’s suspension, Trump joined social media to celebrate.
“American great news: The challenged Jimmy Kimmelshaw has been cancelled,” President 79 wrote on Truth Social Wednesday.
“We congratulate ABC on their courage to do what they ultimately had to do,” Trump added.
“Kimmel has zero talent and if that’s possible, he has a worse rating than Colbert. That leaves two total losers on fake News NBC, Jimmy and Seth. Their ratings are also scary.
