Jim Edmonds’ wife, Corti, reportedly called police and filed a restraining order following his ex-wife, “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” alumnus Meghan King.
According to documents obtained every Wednesday in the US, the 40-year-old reality TV star returned on May 1, “he appeared in the residence several times throughout the day and now caused disturbances.”
Officers said in a case report at the Frontenac Police Station that they found them leaving the King in the Jeep after they were notified that she would be leaving the scene in a vehicle.
After pulling her, the report said, “Meghan advised her to contact her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds earlier in the day to undress for her daughter.” The ex-spouse shares twin Heart and Haze with her 8-year-old children.
“Meghan contacted Jim’s current wife, Colny Edmonds, to arrange for the dress to be dropped off for the event. Sources from US Weekly claimed that the dress was a communion dress and that the king was on his way to St. Louis for an art event.
Courtney told police that King arrived around 5pm and repeatedly “ranced the doorbell” despite alleging that Courtney was expected to “leave the doorbell” and that he was expected to “leave the doorbell at the door.”
“Meghan refused to give Colny the dress and “please asked him to separate and speak” (her daughter),” the report continued.
“Cortinie said she was not home and was at a baseball game with the gym,” according to Corti, “Meghan was upset.” Colny says he closed the front door after asking the king to leave his dress.
Colny claimed in the document that he heard Meghan in the house screaming “her daughter.”
“Colny returned to the front door and observed Meghan standing inside the house through the door,” the report continued. She then told King “leave out of (her) house.”
“Slowly,” after the King left the house, she said, “Colny couldn’t close the door completely, so she temporarily held her foot between the door. After Meghan moved her foot, Cortiny closed the door,” the report recounted Colny’s claim.
Colny later decided to “report the harassment charges” and then called the police. Her husband, Jim, arrived following the alleged encounter and told law enforcement he owns a video of the alleged incident.
Police report stated that Frontnack City Prosecutors “refused” to pursue charges against the King, calling the case a domestic dispute.
The case is currently classified as “inactive”, but the document reveals that Colny has filed a restraining order against King. According to US Weekly, a consent order was agreed in June, with the provision that neither Kortnie nor King would come within 150 feet of children’s events or activities.
According to the additional agreement, the reality TV star said he would refrain from mentioning her ex-husband’s wife in a social media post.
The insider said King’s agreement was an effort to avoid a lengthy lawsuit regarding the alleged case.
A TV personality representative said “recent cases, including Meghan King, have been mischaracterized,” adding that “Meghan was trying to take down her daughter’s dress with Jim Edmonds’ request and adjustments on the needs of her children.”
“Meghan made a temporary call to her daughter through the doorway, never stepped inside, the door slammed into the face and calmly left her belongings on the porch,” they added. “When she left, she was unexpectedly blocked by multiple police vehicles and treated in a way she felt unnecessary hostile.”
“There is a police report and a long public record of restraint orders that shows Meghan is someone in need of protection, and not the other way around. It should also be noted that Meghan has been primarily responsible for her children for a while, and that involvement on the other side is limited to choice,” the statement said.
“Meghan realizes she’s not alone. Many women face confusion and truth, especially when financial resources create personal dynamics in already uneven arenas. The statement continued, adding, “There is video footage of this incident and Meghan hopes to be shared publicly to make the truth clear.”
The statement said King felt the situation was “deeply sad” and that she would not “comment further” on the issue.
“From the respect and protection of children old enough to read and understand what is being said publicly, she chooses silence beyond this statement. Her only priority remains the happiness and stability of her child,” they concluded the statement.
Jim and Courtney officials told Weekly that the intention was to “have the facts speak for themselves.”
Jim and King were married from 2014 to 2019, and Jim filed for divorce from Bravolebrity. They confirmed a controversial split in 2021.
Jim married Colny in 2022.
