Jim Edmonds celebrated his daughter Aspen’s birthday after ex-wife Meghan King temporarily lost custody of their three children.
The former baseball player took to Instagram on Sunday to give fans a look at the now 9-year-old Taylor Swift-themed celebration.
In the photo merry-go-round, he shared a family photo featuring King, his three children Aspen and 7-year-old twins Hart and Hayes, his wife Courtney Edmonds, and himself.
Additionally, there were several snapshots from Aspen’s family celebrating Aspen’s birthday, which included pink balloons, a birthday cake with several tributes to Swift and the singer’s fiancé Travis Kelce, and footage of her opening presents.
Additionally, Jim included some videos of his twin sons driving an excavator.
Posting a glimpse of his time with his family, the 55-year-old captioned the post: “What a great week! So grateful to @kortnieoc.”
Despite restricting who can leave comments on his posts, Jim received praise from his followers.
One follower commented: “It looks like the kids are having a magical childhood,” while another said: “Their little faces are lighting up the world. And they’re safe. Happy Birthday, Little Sweet Pea.”
Meanwhile, a third said: “I absolutely love the happy faces of your children! You look into their eyes and know they are loved and safe!!”
However, a fourth commenter criticized King’s absence, saying, “Aspen would have loved her mother too if she had been there.”
Although King did not attend her birthday, she paid tribute to her daughter on social media a week ago.
“My favorite woman to ever walk the earth,” King wrote on her Instagram Story. “My brightest light, my greatest joy.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum added, “Nine years ago today, a wonderful gift from God was born. That’s when I learned what love is. I love you Aspen King Edmonds. I love you infinitely. Happy Birthday.”
On November 19, Page Six revealed that the former reality star, 41, had temporarily lost custody of her three children to Jim.
Officials said King is allowed to have supervised meetings with Hayes, Hart and Aspen twice a week.
The investigation began after King allegedly gave unprescribed medication to one of the twins and asked the school nurse to do the same.
A source exclusively told Page Six that Dr. King allegedly gave Hayes Ritalin to his son multiple times, even though he has not been diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
After receiving the call from CPS, Jim and Courtney, who live in Tennessee, reportedly immediately flew to Missouri.
A temporary restraining order has also been issued, and a more permanent solution will reportedly be determined at a court hearing scheduled for December 9th.
Following the incident, a source exclusively told Page Six that Aspen, Hayes, and Hart will be spending the holidays with their father and wife at their home in Tennessee.
The Bravolebrity and Jim tied the knot in October 2014, but split five years later amid a cheating scandal. Their divorce was finalized in 2021.
