Jill Zarin was “proud” of being responsible for the demise of The Real Housewives of New York City: Legacy, claims Reza Farahan.
The “Valley: Persian Style” star recalled that when the two were filming the Amazon Freevee reality series “The GOAT” in 2024, Zarin was bragging about the show’s failures.
“We were standing in the door trying to do the contest, and she said to me, ‘You know that show fell apart because of me,'” Farahan told Page Six Radio on Wednesday.
When Bravo rebooted “RHONY” with an all-new cast in 2023, the network announced a second show called “RHONY: Legacy” featuring OG stars. However, due to a failure in contract negotiations, the series is said to have ended with only one season of “Real Housewives: The Ultimate Girl’s Journey.”
The “Shares of Sunset” alum said Ms. Zarin wanted the same amount of money that “Rhoney” alum Luann de Lesseps was being paid, but Ms. Bravo allegedly told her that she was “not entitled to it because[de Lesseps]was on[the show]all the time and[Zarin]wasn’t.”
Farahan, 52, also claimed he was “proud that the show fell apart” because Zarin, 62, “abandoned his position and demanded money”.
But back in 2023, Zarin exclusively told Page Six that he had nothing to do with the RHONY: Legacy collapse.
“‘Legacy’ didn’t happen because it wasn’t supposed to happen, that’s the truth,” the reality star told Us at the premiere of “Book Club: The Next Chapter” at the time.
“It has nothing to do with me. It has to do with the producers and what they decide. I don’t really understand.”
Farahan’s revelation comes just one day after Zarin was fired from the original cast of the new E! Series “Golden Life”.
The show’s producer, Blink 49 Studios, announced in a statement on Tuesday that it had severed ties with the actress over her comments about Bad Bunny.
“In light of recent public comments by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in ‘The Golden Life.’ We remain committed to delivering the series in alignment with the company’s standards and values,” producers said in a statement to Variety.
Zarin, Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Sonya Morgan and Kelly Bensimon have announced the news that they will be appearing on E!’s new show. together. The series features the women reuniting in Palm Beach, Florida.
Zarin has since deleted his Instagram video in which he called Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance “the worst halftime show ever.”
In the clip, she also said that the performance was entirely in Spanish and was “totally inappropriate” as the musician was “grabbing his ‘G’ area.”
“There’s a lot of young kids watching the Super Bowl and he’s so anxious that he doesn’t have to grab himself every five seconds. Seriously.”
While many Bravo celebs fired back at Zarin’s views, a source close to the ousted reality star told Page Six that “E! completely overreacted” and “They would have been fine if they had waited a week. The show will not be on the air for nine months.”
