Jessica Simpson’s Boots Are Made for Walking… Straight to Independent Artist Group, where the singer, actress, entrepreneur, and author is signed to represent. Her arrival at IAG comes as Simpson begins a new chapter in her successful career, which includes new music and a recent appearance on Ryan Murphy’s “All Fair.”
Simpson joins an IAG roster that includes fellow multi-hyphenates including 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige, both of whom have branched out into new territory in recent years. IAG CEO Jim Osborne oversaw the Simpson deal.
“Jessica is a multi-hyphenate whose incredible talents extend far beyond stage and screen as a celebrity brand pioneer and successful business mogul,” Osbourne said. “We are thrilled to welcome Jessica to IAG at this exciting time in her career and look forward to partnering with her on new opportunities across film, television, music and branding to further her creative expression and build on her impressive achievements.”
Last year, Simpson released her first new music in years with the EP release Nashville Canyon: Part 1 & Part 2, earning a solid reputation for the personal honesty of her songs. In 2025, she guest-starred on “All’s Fair,” playing Leanne, the wife of a rock star bent on revenge against her ex-husband for his botched plastic surgery and cheating on her.
In 2020, Simpson published her New York Times bestselling memoir, Open Book, followed by an unscripted sequel and second book. And she continues to oversee the hugely successful Jessica Simpson Collection, considered one of the most lucrative celebrity-founded fashion brands of all time. Now in its 20th year, the Jessica Simpson Collection includes apparel, footwear, accessories, home and more.
Simpson began her singing career in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits such as “I Wanna Love You Forever,” “Irresistible,” “With You,” “Take My Breath Away,” “A Public Affair,” and her version of “These Boots Are Made For Walkin’.” She was also an early celebrity reality TV success story, thanks to MTV’s “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.” That led to films such as “The Dukes of Hazzard,” “Employee of the Month,” “Blonde Ambition,” and a recurring role on “That ’70s Show.”
Mr. Simpson previously represented CAA. She continues to be represented by Grubman, Shire, Meiselas and Sachs.
