Jessica Simpson spent Thanksgiving with her estranged husband Eric Johnson, 10 months after their separation.
The “Dukes of Hazzard” actress was spotted at LAX airport on Friday and was asked by TMZ how she spent her first Thanksgiving since her split from the NFL star.
“Yesterday we were gathered at my mom’s house,” said the hitmaker, who wore an animal print coat, platform boots and sunglasses. When asked if Eric would also be included, Simpson replied, “Of course!”
“That’s the father of my children,” Simpson said, adding: “Family comes first.”
Representatives for Mr. Johnson did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Simpson, 45, and the 46-year-old retired athlete split in January after 10 years of marriage.
“Eric and I have been living apart while going through difficult times in our marriage,” the songstress told People magazine in a statement at the time.
“Our children come first and we care about what’s best for them. We appreciate all the love and support we have received and value our privacy at this time as we work through this situation as a family.”
A source told Page Six at the time that the former couple, who have three children, were struggling with “trust issues.”
“They were no longer on the same page. It drove a wedge between them,” the source revealed.
Despite their holiday reunion, the fashion designer recently revealed that she’s looking for something different going forward.
“I think I’m interested in younger men right now,” Simpson told Extra at the All’s Fair premiere in Los Angeles last month.
“When you’re newly separated…I feel like younger men have a similar confidence to older women,” she said. “I’m having fun!”
Simpson, who was famously married to her “Newlyweds” co-star Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006, isn’t the only celebrity to prioritize her children on Thanksgiving.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, who split in 2015, reportedly spent Thanksgiving with their three children at Garner’s home in Los Angeles, despite Garner’s current relationship with Caliburger CEO John Miller.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker have also reunited, despite announcing their divorce earlier this month after 11 years of marriage.
