Jessica Simpson reconnected on the boat after denounced her ex-boyfriend Tony Romo on the wild small, then brought closer financial relationships.
“He calls me my mom. He says, ‘Well, Tina, I sell boats.’ And my mother is like, ‘OK, and?'” according to fan video, the “charming” diva told the crowd at a 2025 women’s benefits concert in Pittsburgh.
“He’s like, ‘Well, Jessica’s name is still in the title,'” she added Romo. Romo has owned the ship since their split. “So I have to get the paperwork and sign this boat for him to sell.”
“And do you guess what he thanked me?” Simpson, 40, teased. “Plastic cup!”
“I’m like, ‘Wow, I’m glad we didn’t exercise,'” she continued.
According to the National Enquirer, the hitmaker appears to have spoken about the reported $100,000 speedboat he gave to the Dallas Cowboys, who retired on their 28th birthday in 2009.
The 45-year-old Romo rep was not immediately available on Page 6 for comments.
Romo and Simpson began dating in September 2007.
At the time, the Dukes of Hazard stars adopted a lot of heat for romance.
It is dated two years ago when NFL alumni allegedly parted ways with a “newly married” alumni one day before their 29th birthday in 2009.
Simpson later became openly about his split from Romo, admitting in his 2020 memoir, “The Open Book,” that his ex-romance with musician John Mayer was led by their alienation.
The “Fashion Star” alumni claimed that the “Freefall Lin” crooner had a “hold” on her and that she still talks to her ex.
“If John texts or emails, I’ll call you and tell Tony right away,” she wrote. “He knew John had on me, and it was like telling your sponsor when you were triggered.”
Simpson and Mayer achieved their only off-age romance from 2006 to 2010.
The pop star is currently divorced from her estranged husband, Eric Johnson, who married in July 2014 and welcomes three children, Maxwell, Ace and Birdie.
She was previously married to Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006.
