Jessica Chastain’s children made an unusual reveal to support the actress at her Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony.
The “Zero Dark Stilu” star was joined by daughter Julietta, 7, and son Augustus, while receiving the coveted star in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Chastain’s children, whom she shares with her husband, Jean-Luca Passy des Preposlo, were not photographed at the event, but when she accepted the honor, she got a sweet cry from their mother.
“I want to thank my family, Jean Luka. I want to thank my children – everything I do,” she said, adding, “This honor belongs to you.”
Chastain, 48, closed her speech in recognition that her children had a major impact on her success.
“I thank my kids for the way you move around the world. They are curious, fearless, full of reasons, reminding me to continue learning every day and wonder,” she said.
The “Help” star wore a stunning navy gown by Jonathan Cohen and decorated it with Damiani Diamond earrings on special occasions.
The star was presented to Chastain by Viola Davis and Al Pacino.
Chastain is known for keeping her two children out of the spotlight, but in an interview with Marie Claire in 2022, she came across her daughter’s hopes and dreams.
“Usually, I don’t talk about my life, but I had a conversation with my daughter that long ago,” Chastain leaked. “And when you were talking to your child, it was like, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” “I want to be a ballerina.” And she was like, “I want to be a mom.” ”
Chastain recalls telling her daughter that she could be “multiple things” when she grew up.
“I said, ‘Well, look at me, honey. I’m a mom. I’m an actress. I’m a producer. I’m a business owner. I’m a friend. I’m a cook.’ I started listing all of this,” she said. “Yeah, I’m a lot, so you can do whatever you want.”
The Academy Award nominee recalls being surprised by the notion that her daughter doesn’t have to go down just one path.
“You can become president, you can become a ballerina, you can become a mom, and it was so shocking that she heard this all,” she said.
Chastain and her husband welcomed their daughter in 2018 with deputies and son two years later.
The couple began dating in 2012 and tied the knot in 2017.
