After hitting her head on the roof of a car, Jessie J believed she had broken her neck and had to undergo an emergency MRI.
The 37-year-old singer revealed in an Instagram video over the weekend that he had to go to a hospital in Hangzhou, China, during his ongoing “No Secret” tour.
The video showed him hitting his head on the roof of a minivan after telling his team that he didn’t care if they crushed him from behind.
Later, the footage was shown to Jessie J (real name Jessica Ellen Cornish) undergoing an MRI scan at the hospital.
“Yeah, I can’t move my head. I’m fine. I’m just going to take some painkillers and march on. I just want to get through the show a little bit,” she later told the crew during rehearsals.
“I thought I broke my neck, but I didn’t. But I hurt my neck and back really bad. Don’t tell me that,” she further explained.
“Bumped my head 😂😩🥴, should have thought about crushing my back,” the “Price Tag” singer captioned her post.
Jessie’s followers were quick to share their well wishes for the pop star in the comments section, with one fan writing: “Oh my god, Jessie, you’re (not) responsible, baby! Hope your neck and back feel better, rest where you can 😘 Xx.”
A second person said: “It hurt 🤕, but what a show!🙌,” while a third chimed in: “Get well soon, Jesse!”
In June 2025, Jessie announced her breast cancer diagnosis on social media and underwent a mastectomy.
“Cancer is the worst in any form, but I cherish the word ‘early’,” she shared in an Instagram video, adding that she decided to go public with her diagnosis thanks to the constant support of her fans.
“You have loved me through my good times and through my hard times,” she exclaimed. “And I don’t want this to be any different.”
Jessie gave birth to son Skye, now two years old, in May 2023 after suffering a previous miscarriage. She shares a young child with basketball player Chanan Coleman, whom she has been dating since 2021.
