Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who first rose to fame as the star of MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” has revealed that she has been diagnosed with cervical cancer.
“The results of my cone biopsy came back. It was stage 1 cervical cancer called adenocarcinoma,” the reality star said in a nearly eight-minute video posted to her TikTok account on Friday. “Obviously it wasn’t the news I was expecting, but it wasn’t the worst news either because they found out so quickly. Thank you so much!”
In the video, Polizzi revealed that she had come for an appointment following a previous cone biopsy (a surgical procedure in which tissue is removed from the cervix to test for early cervical cancer and precancerous cells).
She said: “I’ve been suffering from abnormal Pap smears for the past three or four years.” Earlier this year, Polizzi shared on TikTok that her doctor “found cancerous cells in the upper part of my cervix” after a colposcopy and biopsy.
“That’s why I’m literally telling everyone to do a Pap smear. I’m 38 years old…and look at me now,” she said. “Rather than just put it off because I didn’t want to go and it hurt and was scary, no, I went and did it. And it was there, and the cancer was there. But it’s only stage one, and it’s curable.”
“So book your appointments, bitches! I’m telling you,” she continued, noting that she’ll likely need a hysterectomy and lymph node removal. “2026 is not going to play out the way I wanted it to, but it could be even worse.”
