Jeremy Renner is shrugging off the latest harassment scandal with a smile.
The Marvel star was spotted smiling broadly while attending amfAR’s 2nd Annual Las Vegas Gala on Friday.
He was photographed wearing a traditional black suit and tie at a philanthropic event, where he received a philanthropic leadership award.
The Hurt Locker actor, 54, was joined on the red carpet by his sister Kim Renner, who is president and CEO of the Rennervation Foundation, according to Forbes.
The event, held at the Wynn Hotel, marks the actor’s first public appearance since Renner hit back at former business partner Yi Chou’s harassment claims, calling them “inaccurate and untrue” in a statement given exclusively to Page Six.
Attorney Marty Singer went on to claim that Chou was retaliating against his client after he “rejected her romantic advances” and failed to promote her project on social media.
Ms Singer claimed the two had a “brief consensual encounter”. However, the actor has not spoken to her since October 24 and has ignored her alleged “explicit sexual messages expressing love.”
He also sent Chou a cease and desist letter, threatening further legal action against her for her “false, fabricated and despicable lies.”
Earlier this month, Chou claimed that the “Hawkeye” star began sending her “personal, intimate photos of himself” after the two started texting in June.
“He persuaded me of his sincerity by saying he had been single for a long time and was open to a long-term relationship,” she claimed. “I believed in him, the power of love, and the possibility of salvation.”
She later claimed that she had “a written contract” with the production company when Renner agreed to collaborate on her documentary, The Chronicles of Disney, but Renner later denied “any personal relationship or professional collaboration.”
“When I personally called him out on his past wrongdoings and asked him to behave appropriately and respect me as a woman and as a director, he threatened to call Immigration Services and ICE against me. This action deeply shocked and horrified me,” Chou claimed.
The filmmaker also claimed to have a “collection” of explicit images and “pornographic GIFs” that Renner allegedly sent to her via WhatsApp.
Chou claims the two were in a short-term relationship, which she revealed to the Daily Mail in October.
She told the outlet that she and Renner “found new love” after a snowplow accident that left Renner with near-fatal injuries in 2023.
Renner’s lawyer said the two sides have not yet reached a “peaceful” agreement.
