Jeremy Renner sent a cease-and-desist letter to his accuser Yi Zhou earlier this week after he accused the filmmaker of sending her “intimate” photos and threatening to “call ICE.”
In a legal letter obtained by Page Six, the “Hawkeye” star denied Chou’s claims, calling them “false, fabricated and vile lies,” and accused him of actively pursuing her with inappropriate messages and photos.
Ms. Renner, 54, claimed that she had agreed to collaborate on Mr. Chou’s documentary “Chronicles of Disney,” but the filmmaker continued to ignore Mr. Chou.
The actor explained that they had a “brief consensual encounter,” but that was the extent of their relationship. He said he ended things in August when Chou came to visit.
However, he claimed that after driving her to the airport, Chou, 37, sent him hundreds of explicit messages in an attempt to continue the relationship.
In one of the explicit messages, she allegedly wrote, “I want him so, so, so bad inside me, fuck me so bad, baby.”
He claimed she also sent him messages talking about playing with Renner’s “fake giants” while she was thinking about “real giants.”
In his letter, Mr. Renner accused Mr. Chou of threatening him with “public harm” if he did not agree to promote the documentary and of threatening to “falsely appear” that the two were in a romantic relationship.
Representatives for Renner did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. TMZ was first to report the news.
This update comes shortly after Renner hit back at Chou’s claims against her, completely denying her version of events in an exclusive statement with Page Six.
“The allegations being made are completely inaccurate and untrue,” a representative for the actor said Friday night.
Chou accused Renner of sending him “personal and intimate” messages and threatening to “call ICE” after their rift via Instagram on Monday.
“He convinced me of his sincerity by saying he had been single for a long time and was open to a long-term relationship,” she continued. “I believed in Him, the power of love, and the possibility of salvation.”
Chou went on to claim that the Marvel actor subsequently “entered into a written contract” with the production company, but subsequently “refused” to promote the project and denied any personal and professional involvement with her.
“When I personally called him out on his past wrongdoings and asked him to behave appropriately and respect me as a woman and as a filmmaker, he threatened to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement and ICE against me. This behavior deeply shocked and horrified me,” Chou said.
On Thursday, Chou furthered her allegations against Renner, sharing a screenshot of a video clip she claims the Marvel alum sent to her via WhatsApp.
The video depicted a male porn actor and a female porn actress engaging in sexual activity. She claimed that Renner sent her a clip with the message, “Oh yeah? 🤤 Is this okay??”
Along with the alleged incident, Chou claimed to have a “collection of photos and pornographic GIFs that he sent.”
Chou claimed that he began a short-term romance with Renner after he introduced himself in June.
In September, she hinted at a romantic relationship with Renner by sharing several photos and recordings of the two driving around Renner’s hometown of Reno, Nevada.
Weeks before making the bombshell about Renner, Chou praised the Daily Mail, saying the couple had “found new love” months after Renner recovered from a near-fatal snowplow accident.
