Jennifer Lawrence teased that she was “naked” on the red carpet at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards in a sheer Givenchy dress. The Die My Love star is nominated for Best Female Actor in a Motion Picture or Drama. Lawrence recently spoke out about being snubbed at the upcoming Actor Awards (formerly known as the SAG Awards).
After missing last week’s Critics’ Choice Awards, Jennifer Lawrence wore a bold outfit for her 2026 awards season debut. The Die My Love actress, who is nominated for Best Female Actor in a Motion Picture or Drama, appeared on the year’s first red carpet wearing Givenchy by Sarah Burton.
The gown was completely sheer, with only floral embroidery. Lawrence joked to Entertainment Tonight during a red carpet interview that she was ready to wear this look for the night. “I’m about to hang,” she said. “I’m naked! So can I.” She accessorized with Longines jewelry.
Earlier this week, Lawrence spoke out about being snubbed at the upcoming Actor Awards (formerly the SAG Awards). The Screen Actors Guild announced the nominations on Wednesday, with Lawrence’s best friend Emma Stone nominated for Best Actress for her role in Bugonia.
That night, Lawrence recounted the text exchange during an interview with podcast host Josh Horowitz on 92NY. “We were in a group chat and she was nominated for SAG today and I wasn’t,” she said via Variety. “I wrote, ‘What?!’ All her friends said, ‘Congratulations, Emma,’ but I just looked sad.”
“Today, every time she tried to talk, I was like, ‘Why don’t you say you’re sorry?'” she quipped. “She’s been hitting me for decades, and it’s an honor.”
Lawrence has also been candid about whether or not he watches his on-screen work. In a conversation about acting with Leonardo DiCaprio for Variety magazine, she admitted that she rarely re-watches her own films. “I’ve never made a movie like “Titanic.” If they did, I would watch it,” he joked, before adding, “I got really drunk and watched “American Hustle.” I thought, “Am I good at acting?” I tried it on, but I can’t remember the answer. ”
