Jenna Dewan will be walking down the aisle soon!
In an exclusive chat with PEOPLE on the opening night of the Borrowed Spotlight exhibit on Tuesday, February 3, Dewan, 45, said she is “getting close” to finalizing wedding plans with her fiancé of six years, Steve Kazee.
“Oh my god, I agree,” Dewan said at an event in Los Angeles, adding that they plan to get married later this year. “There were so many ideas. There were so many different discussions and we found the right one at the right time. We’re planning it. We’re getting close to it.”
Dewan and Kazee announced their engagement in February 2020. The couple have two children together, son Callum, 5, and daughter Rhiannon, 20 months. Dewan has her third child, daughter Everly, 12, with ex-husband Channing Tatum.

Dewan’s wedding has been put on hold until his divorce from Tatum, 45, is finalized in September 2024, six years after they split.
The mother of three tells PEOPLE that the benefit of waiting longer to get married is that her kids can be a part of the wedding. “That’s great. Now we’re down to three people,” Dewan says. “They will all be responsible for very different jobs in different parts of the service.”
Dewan also talks about how her children follow her lead when it comes to their interests. “For now, Evie is dancing, and so is Callum. He’s only six years old, but he’s done recitals and loves the stage. We laugh. There’s no way our two kids wouldn’t love the stage, right?” she says.
“…Rhiannon…she’s very vocal. She sings along with the songs. So she might be the one who gets Steve’s singing voice,” Dewan added.

Back in December, Dewan revealed that his daughter Everly was “very involved” in the wedding planning process.
“She has an opinion on everything, and she really has an opinion on this… She’s like, ‘Let’s make the party fun, Mom,’ and that’s important,” Dewan tells PEOPLE.
Dewan added that Everly also commented on her wedding dress.
“She’s very opinionated. Yeah. She’s very sweet about it, but if she doesn’t like it she’ll tell me,” Dewan said.
