What you need to know
Jelly Roll’s daughter Bailey Ann had a hilarious reaction to her father’s signature beard.
In a YouTube vlog shared on Thursday, Nov. 20, the “I Am Not Okay” singer, 40, revealed that she’s changing up her look. “I know some people are tired of hearing about my weight loss at this point, but once you start losing weight and realize it, a lot of things change,” the seven-time Grammy nominee began.
“One of the things I realized was that I didn’t know what I looked like. I grew a beard to try to hide my double chin, but it’s definitely going to be a double chin from now on,” he said, recalling the last time he shaved smoothly and his fear of what his new look would be like.
“The last time I shaved my face was when I just got out of prison. I had a feeling I was going to look like a Ninja Turtle, but I’m going to go shave my goddamn face and surprise my family,” the musician explained.
“My daughter will see me without a beard for the first time,” he said after revealing that he had only informed his wife Bunny Zaw of his decision to shave.

After filming Jelly Roll shaving, Bunny went into the kitchen to greet his daughter Bailey Ann, 17, from a previous relationship. In the hilariously shocked horror, Bailey couldn’t stop laughing. “Stay there,” she begins, and her father laughs behind the camera.
“Oh my god, I’m crying. I hate this,” Bailey said, laughing through her tears. “You look like a turtle. I don’t like this. Oh my god. I don’t know if I’m laughing or this…” She walked away.
Jelly Roll then resumed video blogging outdoors on his farm in Tennessee. “Oh, what’s going on? You guys know by now. You know by now that I look like a Ninja Turtle. Well, this was crazy. You know, one of the reasons I started growing a beard was because I was so obese. It was just easier to hide what was going on here,” the country star continued.

“But what’s standing there is ‘Beautifully’. Broken』というアルバムだ。そして、もしそれが今世界で起きていることを表していないとしても、今起きていることの中に美しさを見つけることができると思うのは今まで以上だ。それに、勝っても負けても引き分けでも、なんてことだ、おいおい。俺たちは勝ったんだ。それが俺の気持ちだ。俺はもう勝ったんだ。グラミー賞にノミネートされたときは、まるで優勝したかのように祝ったんだ。それがいつも俺たちの哲学なんだ」と彼はこの作品について語った。 In the video, he congratulated fellow nominees Tyler Childers and Kelsea Ballerini before announcing the nominations.
