he’s not okay.
Jelly Roll was rushed to the hospital earlier this year after flipping over his ATV and breaking his collarbone.
The horrific accident happened in January, just days before the Grammy Awards. However, the “I Am Not Okay” singer didn’t reveal his “secret” until last weekend.
“This is the first time I’ve taken this out since I flipped it over,” Jelly Roll, 41, said in an Instagram clip shared on Sunday. “I broke my collarbone.”
“I was so scared to go back into this,” he continued, walking around his repaired ATV. “I knew if I didn’t get back on my feet sooner, it would only get scarier.”
The “Son of a Sinner” singer thought he had “repaired” the four-wheeler, but revealed that one of his brothers “fixed it up” to make it “new.”
Jelly Roll (real name Jason Bradley Deford) went on to explain that he decided to share the news of his horrific ATV accident now because he was thinking about how he broke his collarbone while riding an ATV over the weekend at the Grammy Awards.
“I thought I was running around the Grammys with a broken collarbone,” he said. “Every time I hugged someone that week, I felt like screaming. I didn’t say it, but every time someone squeezed me, I felt like I was going to cry.”
“Sometimes machines can do more than you think. This is all user error,” the “Need a Favor” singer added. “Anyway, moral of the story: go back to that baby pony. I love you all.”
“I kept it a secret from you all,” Jelly Roll captioned the clip on his Instagram.
In the clip, Jelly Roll also shared an X-ray of him, a photo of him on stage at this year’s Grammy Awards, and a photo of his injured quadriceps muscle after the accident.
Meanwhile, the three-time Grammy Award winner’s wife shared a social media video of herself on Sunday. It showed her famous husband lying in a hospital bed, wearing a gown and a neck brace.
Bunny Zaw, 46, captioned an Instagram post: “This happened in January. Worst phone call ever.” “But thankfully we got through it and he made a full recovery.”
Despite suffering a broken collarbone at the time, Jelly Roll attended the 2026 Grammy Awards, even walking the red carpet with his wife of almost 10 years.
The “Save Me” crooner won three awards during the ceremony, including Best Contemporary Country Album for “Beautiful Broken,” Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for “Hard Fight Hallelujah” and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Amen.”
“I think a lot of people watching the Grammys tonight feel like it’s been a long time since they’ve been represented on a stage like this,” Jelly Roll told reporters backstage after his third win.
“And I’m excited to make that happen,” he added.
