“Hacking” star Hannah Einbinder shared amazing news about the future of her hit HBO show.
The 30-year-old star revealed that his beloved dark comedy series is closing after the next fifth season while walking the red carpet for the 77th Emmy Awards on Sunday night.
“I think that feels different,” Ainbinder told E! News before heading to Peacock Theatre. “We’re starting next week. It’s really bittersweet to know that it was last season.”
“But I think it’s correct, do you know?” she continued. “I think it’s good to do something as many times as you need to do. It’s not a welcome thing. It tears it apart, laughs and crys.”
“Hacking” premiered on HBO in 2021, with its fifth season announced in May. This is just two days before Season 4 was released on Streaming Giant.
Meanwhile, creators Jen Stussky, Lucia Anielo and Paul W. Downs won’t confirm whether Season 5 is the final storyline, but previously suggested that they could only tell five seasons of storyline.
“I think the only comment is that we’re writing now. Looking at the history of the show, our network is really amazing in that it’s creative and creative,” Statsky said earlier this year.
“We know where the series ends, but things changed along the way, things were added and things were deducted,” she added at the time. “We’re just at this point, really listening and thinking about where we want to go with the story, and really doing a gut check.”
“It’s a very long, non-answer, but the truth is that we let the story and the characters tell us, so we’re still thinking about how much we should tell,” concluded Statsky.
Einbinder will star as Ava Daniels in the award-winning series. This is a promising, yet bleak, yet promising comedy writer despite his guidance with comics legend Deborah Vance (played by Jean Smart).
“Hack” was nominated for a whopping 62 Emmy Awards throughout his four seasons of runs, winning 10.
Smart, 74, recorded her fourth Golden Statue in her role as Vance at the 77th Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The “Frasier” alumni walked to the Peacock Theatre stage “John Wayne-like” after breaking his knee earlier this summer, thanking his “hacking” colleagues for awarding the biggest award on television.
“One of the best things about winning something like this is being able to actually publicly thank the people you work with,” she said. “Our incredible crew, my incredible castmates are led by the incomparable Hannah Einbinder. Our showrunners are my kids, my anchor. Joe (Pacheco), my cheerleader.”
“Everyone, let’s do good things to each other,” Smart concluded her acceptance speech. “Do something good for each other.”
As for Einbinder, she won her first Emmy Award for her outstanding support actress in comedy on the biggest night on TV.
“I was really committed to my personal story, but I actually thought it was cooler to lose,” the actress who lost in the category three times ago began. “But this is cool too! This is punk rock too.”
“I want to thank Jean Smart, the Sun, and I’m only to stand in her warmth. I also want to thank the cast and crew of “Hacking”,” she finished. “Finally, go to the birds, f–k ice and free Palestine. Thank you.”
