Jason Kelce and Garage Beer have teamed up with the upcoming film Predator: Badlands to create a new short titled “Thermal Buzz.”
Produced in collaboration with 20th Century Studios and its latest film, “Predator,” which opens in theaters on November 7, “Thermal Buzz” is director Kelce’s homage to the original 1987 “Predator,” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The trailer shows Kelce and former Philadelphia Eagles player Beau Allen donning head-to-toe camouflage as they take on a Predator in the jungle and, of course, enjoy a refreshing garage beer.
“Thermal Buzz” was directed by Jordan Phoenix and filmed outside Orlando. In addition to Kelsey and Allen, the 11-minute film also stars professional wrestler Matt Cardona. The full short is scheduled to be released on Friday, but fans can now check out the trailer and 30-second ad that will play during commercial breaks at select NFL games on Sunday through YouTube and Garage Beer’s socials.
“As a ’90s kid, there was nothing I loved more than a good action movie,” Kelsey said in a statement. “In my opinion, it’s hard to find a more iconic movie than ‘Predator.’ From memes to epic quotes, it’s unparalleled when it comes to action-packed entertainment. I’m just thrilled that our short film can be a part of that moment. I can’t wait to see ‘Predator: Badlands.'”
“Thermal Buzz” is Kelsey and Garage Beer’s third short film, following “Brewmite II” and the original “Brewmite,” in which Kelsey and Garage Beer faced off against MMA superstar Chuck Liddell.
