Jason Blum will be awarding the Milestone Award on behalf of Producer Guild of America. Blum will win the award at the 37th Producer Guild Awards held at Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles on February 28th.
“I’ve become recognized by my peers at this year’s Milestone Awards,” Blum said in a press release. “Fifteen years ago, I was a struggling independent producer and could not imagine receiving such an honor. I am grateful to Stephanie, Donald and the PGA for this recognition.”
A two-time Primetime Emmy Award-winning producer, Blumhouse, has founded a film, television and gaming company focusing on the horror genre. In 2024, Blumhouse merged with James Wan’s Atomic Monster, producing nearly $10 billion at the box office revenue worldwide.
“Jason Blum redefines what is possible with independent filmmaking, demonstrating that even bold vision and creative ingenuity can produce global cultural touchstones, even with modest resources,” said producers, US Presidents Stephanie Alaine and Donald De Rhine. “Through Blumhouse, he has defended fearless storytellers, cultivated a fresh voice and established a series of works spanning the most successful and original films and series of our era. We are proud to recognize his incredible contributions to the Milestone Awards.”
The PGA Milestone Award recognizes individuals or teams who have made historic contributions to the entertainment industry. Previous recipients include Donna Langley, James Cameron, Kathleen Kennedy, and more.
The event chairs for the 2026 Producer Guild Awards are Mike Farrar and Joe Farrell. This year’s awards were produced by Anchor Street Collective, Branden Chapman is an executive producer and Carleen Cappelletti is a co-executive producer.
