Jamie King secretly married Austin Sosa a month after losing custody of their child and then lied about it.
The former couple quietly married on April 23, 2025, according to Sosa’s Jan. 22 divorce filing, which Page Six obtained exclusively on Friday.
The 34-year-old investment banker claimed they separated on November 11, 2025, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation.
“I was completely blindsided by the divorce papers that came out of nowhere,” King, 46, told Page Six on January 23, claiming she was with Sosa “the night before” he was due to appear in court.
The actress admitted that she experienced “normal difficulties” in her short-lived marriage, but “truly believed that[they]were working on their relationship.”
She went on to deny that several cozy outings with celebrity hotelier Vikram Chatwal in late December and early January had anything to do with their breakup.
“The recent interactions that have been publicly mentioned are strictly professional business meetings and have nothing to do with this private matter,” she insisted.
The “Sin City” star never publicly said that she and Sosa were married and kept the details of their relationship private.
In fact, in July 2025, she was photographed wearing what appears to be an engagement ring, and her rep later said: “Jamie is entering an exciting new chapter in her engagement to Austin Sosa and appreciates all the kind messages of support.”
“She is especially happy to share this moment with her children, who have a loving bond with Austin and his family. As always, her sons are her top priority and she kindly requests privacy as we move forward together with love and gratitude.”
Meanwhile, a source told People: “She is very close to[Sosa’s]family and was living with his parents after they moved out of their Los Angeles apartment earlier this year.”
And during an October 2025 appearance on the Juicy Scoop podcast, host Heather McDonald asked how she and Sosa met after guest King said they were “recently engaged.”
“We met through mutual friends,” she answered, agreeing that this is an “exciting” time in her life.
When McDonald asked King about her sons, James, 12, and Leo, 10, she simply said, “They’re very busy.”
Dr. King filed for divorce from her first husband, Kyle Newman, in May 2020, leading to controversial legal proceedings. After she accused the filmmaker of abuse, he denied her claims and claimed that she was a “chronic drug addict and alcoholic.”
They settled their divorce in September 2023.
But the following October, Newman, 49, accused King of being “exhausted” and “drunk” while the children were in her care.
Five months later, just one month before marrying Sosa, the “White Chicks” star lost custody of the boys after failing to complete a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. However, she was granted supervised visitation rights.
Days later, the “devastated and embarrassed” mother of two was forced to move out of her Los Angeles rental home after falling behind on thousands of dollars in back rent.
Representatives for Mr. King and Mr. Sosa did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
