Jamie King told Page Six that she was “blindsided” by her husband’s divorce filing.
TMZ reported last night that banker Austin Sosa filed a petition in court Thursday to dissolve the marriage.
They got engaged in the summer and apparently got married in secret.
“I was completely blindsided by the divorce papers that came out of nowhere,” the “Sin City” star told Us on Thursday night.
“I was with Austin the night before we made our marriage public. Like many marriages, we had our normal challenges, but I truly believed our relationship was going well.”
Meanwhile, she denied our reports that she was spotted on several dates with famous hotelier Vikram Chatwal and had nothing to do with their breakup.
“The recent interactions that have been referred to publicly are strictly professional business meetings and have nothing to do with this private matter,” she said.
The 46-year-old “Pearl Harbor” actor finalized her divorce from director Kyle Newman in 2023 after 17 years of marriage, and got engaged to investment banker Austin Sosa in July 2025 after meeting through friends in December 2024.
She and Newman have two children.
“My focus right now is on my work and most importantly on my children,” King told Us Thursday night. “This is a very personal matter and should remain private. I wish people would stop making assumptions that unfairly and unfairly scrutinize women, especially just because they do a job.”
We reported earlier this month that Chatwal and King were showing affection for each other one evening at the Chateau Marmont. They were then spotted together again a few days later at Chatwal’s Bombay Palace Restaurant.
