Baby, he has a plan. Please run away as soon as possible.
Jaden Smith abruptly stormed out of an interview Wednesday after being asked about Kanye West during the Los Angeles premiere of “Corda Been Love 2.”
“I see you’re working with Stephen Smith, who designed with Ye,” a Complex reporter asked the 27-year-old rapper, according to a video of the event. “What are you all cooking?”
But instead of answering the interviewer’s questions, the “Pursuit of Happyness” star stormed off.
Shortly after Jaden’s sudden resignation, a Complex reporter quipped, “I guess we’ll never know.”
Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s only son was named Christian Louboutin’s first-ever male creative director in September.
He is tasked with overseeing the creation of four collections a year across shoes, leather goods and accessories, and unveiled his first designs during Paris Fashion Week Men’s last month, according to WWD.
The “Icon” singer also collaborated with famed sneaker designer Stephen Smith for a new design. Stephen, 60, famously partnered with West, 48, on the controversial hip-hop star’s Yeezy brand.
Jaden’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
It’s unclear exactly why Jaden reacted the way he did when he mentioned the “Donda” rapper’s name, but several fans took to the comments section of the video of the incident to weigh in on the surprising matter.
One person wrote: “Next time he should just sit at home like a kid. That’s disrespectful and disrespectful.”
“What we’re getting is these idiots became stars because of their parents,” another added. “He stopped treating people like that.”
However, some came to the “Best Kid” actor’s defense.
One fan commented, “It’s really amazing.” “You’re interviewing him, so why are you asking about you?”
“The best way to react to Kanye West is to just ignore him,” another shared.
Jaden previously opened up about his friendships with rappers like West, Drake and Donald Glover and why he no longer hangs out with hip-hop icons in a 2019 interview with Complex magazine.
The “SYRE” artist explained that he was no longer “cool” for the trio because he started making his own music and was no longer the trio’s “Little Homie.”
“Before, I always felt like Little Homie, so I started to get into their circle,” he said at the time. “But now that I’m on the charts alongside them, I’m not Little Homie anymore.”
Jaden then made headlines when he walked out of West’s infamous YZY SZN 9 fashion show in Paris in October 2022.
After the “College Dropout” rapper released his widely controversial “White Lives Matter” design, Jaden took to social media to write, “I had to soak it in lol” and “I don’t care who you are if you don’t feel the message,” followed by a “Black Lives Matter” tweet.
Kendall Jenner (whose sister Kim Kardashian, 45, was still legally married to West, 48, at the time of the White Lives Matter controversy) subtly supported Jaden’s decision to leave by liking his tweet at the time.
Meanwhile, Jaden and Kendall’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner, were best friends when they were teenagers.
Rumors of their romance sparked in 2013, and the “Never Say Never” rapper was invited to Kardashian and West’s 2014 wedding, where he wore a white Batman suit.
As for West, he badmouthed Jaden’s parents while discussing his and the Skims founder’s “issues” in February 2021, months after they separated. The Yeezy founder and Kardashian are scheduled to officially divorce in November 2022.
“I’m not trying to go ‘Will and Jada’ because everyone has issues on both sides,” he told Hollywood Unlocked in January 2022.
The Grammy winner didn’t elaborate on the comparison, but some speculated that he was referring to Jada’s “entanglement” with Jaden’s best friend August Alsina.
The “Matrix” star revealed her and Alsina’s “entanglement” on an episode of Will’s Facebook Watch series “Red Table Talk” in July 2020.
Jada also stated that her relationship with Alsina occurred while she and Will were separated.
