Jacob Elordi stepped onto the Golden Globes red carpet after a busy start to the 2026 awards season. The actor was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture tonight for his role as Creature in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. He is also in the running for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Made-for-TV Movie for “The Road to the North.”

Elordi wore a black Bottega Veneta tuxedo and Cartier jewelry. He accessorized his look with Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses.

The film won multiple awards overall, including Best Drama Film, Best Director for Del Toro, and Best Original Score. Earlier this month, Elordi won his first Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor for the role.

In accepting this honor, Elordi acknowledged the scale of the transformation required to play this creature. “It’s pure hell. I really didn’t mean it,” he said on stage. He thanked del Toro, adding, “I love you. We all love you. You made my dreams come true when I was 11 years old. I’m so happy to be here.” He also praised the film’s production, costume and prosthetics teams, saying, “You guys are geniuses. You couldn’t walk around like that in front of a green screen. You created that world.”

The performance required extensive physical preparation, including wearing prosthetic legs for hours each day. Del Toro previously explained that Elordi spent about 10 hours a day in the makeup chair. Talk to Mr. E! “He did everything with grace and patience and love,” the director said in October 2025.

Tonight’s awards ceremony comes at a busy time for Elordi, who also starred in “A Narrow Road to the Deep North” last year. The actor plays Dorrigo Evans, an Australian surgeon who overcomes trauma during World War II.
