Jack Schlossberg has once again slammed Ryan Murphy for his Hulu series “Love Story,” which depicts the romance between the late John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette.
Schlossberg, President Kennedy’s nephew, called the popular series “grotesque” in an interview on “CBS Sunday Morning” that aired March 1.
Asked about the show, Schlossberg said, “If you want to know someone who has never met any of my family and knows nothing about us, talk to Ryan Murphy.”
“This guy has no idea what he’s talking about and he makes a lot of money by making a grotesque version of other people’s lives.”
Back in July 2025, Schlossberg accused Murphy of profiting from “Love Story.”
“You make millions from John and flaunt it to the world, but you have no intention of donating that wealth to the causes he championed or the legacy of public service he represents,” Schlossberg wrote on Instagram at the time.
The Yale alum also criticized Murphy’s comments on the podcast “This Is Gavin Newsom,” saying the producer was surprised that Schlossberg had negative feelings toward “Love Story,” since Schlossberg allegedly “doesn’t remember” his late uncle.
“Hi @ryanmurphyproductions: My earliest memory is of John calling me Jacolatan and ‘nudist’ and picking me up from school in his Pontiac convertible,” Schlossberg recalled.
“I remember being the ring bearer at his wedding and the day he died. I remember Wyclef singing at his funeral,” he continued.
Schlossberg, 33, previously spoke of his disdain for the show, which was based on Kennedy and Bessette, who died in a 1999 plane crash along with Carolyn’s sister Lauren Bessette.
“For those wondering if his family has ever been consulted or if it has anything to do with the new show being made about him, the answer is no,” he said on his Instagram Story. news.
“Just to be clear, I think the praise for Uncle John is great,” he added. “What I don’t think is great is profiting in grotesque ways.”
“Love Story” quickly became one of the most talked about programs on television after its first broadcast on February 12th. Although the Hulu series depicts Kennedy and Bessette’s relationship as romantic, their dynamic was more complicated in their private lives.
Sources told Page Six that while Kennedy, the only son of President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, loved attention, Bessette was more reserved.
“They’re going to have a big fight. A big fight. A crazy fight,” said a source familiar with the couple.
Another socialite said: “He made it hard for her.[Carolyn]broke the deal. She did everything she could to keep it together. He was very spoiled.”
