Marlon Wayans stands in his new film “He” despite fewer reviews than some Stellars.
Sports horror films currently sit at 28% on Rotten Tomatoes, and Wayans joined Instagram on September 19th (the first day of the film), urging fans to listen to critics and not check out the film.
“Just to be clear… I respect critics. Their job is to criticize,” Wayans writes. “I respect their work. It shapes our industry. But opinions don’t necessarily mean that it’s the opinion of everyone. Some films go beyond the curve. Innovation is not always accepted, art should be interpreted, and they had a subjective career.
The photo components of the post included screenshots of low rotten tomato scores from other Wayance projects, including “White Chick,” “Don’t be a threat to South Central while drinking juice in food,” “Scary Movies,” “Scary Movies 2,” and “Haunted House.”
“He” is about a young quarterback prospect (Tyriq Withers) being drafted into the NFL and taken under the wings of legendary players (Marlon Wayans) to learn everything about success and progress in the league. Unfortunately, there are many sacrifices to create names in a field, not just in terms of phorism, not in terms of phorism.
