Isla Fisher gave a glimpse of her new life in London after her divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen.
When the furniture and accents arrived in her luxurious new home, Fisher confessed to Elle Decoration that she was thrilled with the milestone.
“I cried a little bit when it all arrived, because it was my first time being in my own home as a single woman,” she said from her new home, which she moved into after her father died in 2023 and her marriage to the “Borat” star ended.
“Trying to build a new life at a grassroots level has been difficult, at least emotionally, but very rewarding,” the “Wedding Crashers” star said. “I’m enjoying this new version of life.”
The 49-year-old “Confessions of a Shopaholic” actress also revealed that she prefers a peaceful atmosphere these days.
“There’s no need to party at home anymore,” she told the magazine in an interview published Wednesday.
“I love taking a bath. I light a candle, bring my laptop in and watch something on Netflix. It’s super exciting.”
Fisher also revealed that she “loves being in bed,” explaining, “Sometimes it’s the only place I find peace!”
The “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” actress has three children with the “Bruno” actor and said she is keeping a close eye on them in their new home.
“I wanted the kids’ room to be on my floor so I could monitor their smartphone use,” she told the outlet.
She also said that her residence needed “outdoor space” as well as “space for my family who live in Greece and often visit me.”
“I was lucky enough to grow up in Australia and have always been barefoot in the garden and on the beach, so this just feels like home,” she said.
Fisher and Cohen, 54, announced their separation in a joint social media statement in 2024.
“In 2023, we jointly filed for termination of our marriage,” they wrote at the time. “We have always prioritized privacy and have been quietly working on this change.”
“We will forever share our dedication and love for children,” they concluded. “We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s desire for privacy.”
In a July interview with Harper’s Bazaar Australia, the mother of three said she was looking forward to the future post-divorce.
“The last few years have been tough, but I’m getting through it,” she told the magazine. “I’m really looking forward to the next chapter.”
“I’m refocusing on my career, because I used to be so focused on my kids, and of course I still am, because[they are]my true love. But I’m enjoying working again.”
Fisher added that her divorce from Cohen in June has allowed her to explore new possibilities.
“I’m trying to remember my new identity as someone outside of the partnership and stay as healthy as possible,” she revealed at the time. “Every time there’s a change, it’s hard to adapt to it. But I hope it works out.”
