What you need to know

The spinoff 9-1-1: Nashville premiered on ABC on October 9. The series stars Chris O’Donnell, who is a real-life father of five. Other parents in the cast include Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who has two sons with her husband, country singer Brad Paisley.

The firefighters at Nashville 9-1-1’s Station 113 are like family, and in real life, the show’s cast members have fulfilling personal lives, including their children.

The latest 9-1-1 spinoff, which premiered on October 9th, follows the convergence of Captain Don Hart’s (Chris O’Donnell) professional and personal life.

While putting out a fire with his son and fellow firefighter Ryan Hart (Michael Provost), Don’s past comes back to life in an unexpected way. It turns out that he has a secret son named Blue Bennings (Hunter McVeigh), who also joins Station 113’s crew.

O’Donnell is used to playing the father of five children. The actor is just one of several cast members on “9-1-1: Nashville” who are parents. Kimberly Williams-Paisley has two sons, Jessica Capshaw has four children, and Juani Feliz has one child.

Here’s everything you need to know about the children of “9-1-1: Nashville” cast members.

O’Donnell will lead the cast of 9-1-1: Nashville and play Captain Don Hart.

The Batman & Robin actor has been married to his wife, Caroline Fentress, since 1997. About two years later, the couple started a family with the birth of their daughter Lily.

O’Donnell and Fentress welcomed sons Christopher Jr. in 2000, Charlie in 2003, and Finley O’Donnell in 2006. Their youngest child, daughter Maeve, was born in 2007.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2008, O’Donnell said of his large family, “We’re not going to be the Duggars. We’re going to stop at five. Five is a handful.”

Almost all of O’Donnell’s children appeared on O’Donnell’s previous series, NCIS: Los Angeles. Notably, Charlie played a younger version of O’Donnell’s G. Cullen.

Currently, Lily also works in the entertainment industry. According to her LinkedIn, she is a member of Lionsgate’s distribution department.

Jessica Capshaw plays Bryce Hart, O’Donnell’s wife.

The Grey’s Anatomy alum and her husband Christopher Gavigan have four children: Luke, Eve, Poppy, and Josephine.

The couple’s only son, Luke, was born in September 2007, and their first daughter, Eve, was born in October 2010. Poppy and Josephine were then born in June 2012 and May 2016, respectively.

Through her time in Hollywood, Capshaw learned how to juggle career and family as a working mother.

“Listen, when it’s tough, it’s really tough. And I’ve always said, there’s no balance to being a mom who works outside the home,” she told PEOPLE in April 2017.

“You have to give up one thing in order to get something else,” the actress added.

Williams-Paisley plays Cammy Rowley, a 9-1-1 dispatcher.

The actress married country music star Brad Paisley in 2003, and the couple have two sons, Huck, born in February 2007, and Jasper, born in April 2009.

In recent years, her sons helped her when she suffered a “bizarre and inexplicable health scare.”

Williams-Paisley, who suddenly lost her voice in November 2022, was later diagnosed with partial paralysis of her vocal cords. She had surgery to correct it, but “could barely speak for two years,” she told PEOPLE in December 2024.

She said her sons were “great cheerleaders” during the ordeal.

“At an event, if the person I wanted to speak to had left and I couldn’t get them, they knew and would get them for me,” Williams-Paisley continued. “They are used to supporting me and are really sweet.”

In September 2021, Feliz married his wife, Claribel Jimenez-Feliz. The couple gave birth to a baby girl, Charlize Inauj, in March 2024.

“My dream baby and vibe,” Ferris wrote in a September 2024 Instagram post with a photo of her daughter. “When you are in my arms, everything else disappears. You are the best thing that will ever happen to us and the greatest joy of our lives.”

“Moms love you so much Char and are so grateful for these 18 blissful months,” she concluded the caption.
