A quiet night.
The Kardashian-Jenner family did not celebrate Christmas Eve with their traditional big bash on Wednesday night, instead opting for an “intimate” gathering.
Kendall Jenner hosted a celebratory soiree at her Beverly Hills mansion, marking the second year in a row that she has hosted the event.
The 818 Tequila founder, 30, and her loved ones were all dressed up, even though the gathering was modest.
Kendall looked stunning in an all-white vintage Mugler ensemble, while Kylie Jenner wore a black John Galliano number.
Kim Kardashian wore a silver dress covered in lights, while Khloe Kardashian wore a strapless dress and layered jewelry.
Khloe, 41, took to her Instagram Stories to explain why she skipped the reality stars’ famously “big” party.
“We just celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday and wanted to do something more intimate, so we’ll do it with just our family,” she told her followers. “But of course we have to dress up because that’s what we want to do. So we’re just celebrating a very festive and wonderful holiday.”
Notably, Chris’ “James Bond” themed party was held in November, with a star-studded guest list that included Meghan Markle, Oprah Winfrey, and Justin Bieber.
Last week, Khloe revealed that her family would be splitting the cost of the big soiree, even though the party was held at Kendall’s mansion.
“Because it’s a family thing, we split the cost of the party equally,” she said on the Dec. 17 episode of the “Chloe in Wonderland” podcast.
Chris, who guest-starred on the episode, reflected on the annual event and admitted it “gets really crazy.”
“I think one of the most fun things is being able to share something with your friends. We were always able to give out great presents at the end of the party,” Chris said.
Her mother began hosting the annual holiday event in 1978, and in recent years she has passed on the tradition to her daughters.
Last year, Kendall hosted a low-key family gathering on Christmas Eve.
A year earlier, Kim celebrated Christmas by transforming her $60 million mansion in Los Angeles into a winter wonderland. Kim’s festival featured real snow, sledding, and lots of caroling.
This annual event is also known for attracting celebrities.
Past celebrity attendees include Sia, Hailey Bieber, Paris Hilton, Babyface, John Legend, and Chrissy Teigen.
