Years after in the Hollywood spotlight as the Stranger Things eleven, Millie Bobby Brown takes on a lifelong role at a tender age of 21. maternal.
The actress and husband Jake Bongiovie, 23, surprised the world last week when they announced that they had adopted a baby girl.
The big news is that it’s been more than a year since the pair got married. And because Brown was too young at the time to be legally involved in champagne toast. The young couple settled on a farm in Georgia with animals.
In an age when mothers later gave birth to children and many began to avoid family completely, the move has led some fans to call “traditional wives” rather than charity.
However, insiders say Brown is happy and doesn’t care what others think about her unconventional Hollywood choices.
“She’s too confident to be confused,” the insider told the post. “She doesn’t give you crap. Why should she be?”
Certainly, the blonde starlet generated joy at the Hamptons on August 22nd.
“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the two wrote in a joint statement on Instagram. “We are thrilled to embark on this beautiful next chapter in parent-child relationships, both in peace and privacy.”
They interrupted the message: “And three.

The pair tied the knot in May 2024 and soon bought the farm on a rural Georgia farm near Atlanta with more than 30 dogs, goats and donkeys named Bernard.
On the Call Her Daddy podcast last March, Brown told host Alex Cooper that she understood why her marriage led her to call her “TradWife,” but also explained her extraordinary choices.
“I love my job. I love being traditional, unconventional and unconventional in many ways,” she told Cooper, admitting to cooking “every night” dinner for her model husband.
On a March “Smartless” podcast, Brown said his mother was 21 years old and 19 when his father gave birth to his first child. Bangiovi claimed to be married first, but starting a younger generation is also a priority for her, she said.
“We really want a large family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four,” she said. “I wanted to be a mom like my mother.”
Brown comes from a humble beginning. She was born to English parents in Marbella, Spain, and spent her childhood in the British seaside town of Bournemouth. The family eventually moved to Los Angeles to pursue Millie’s acting dream. She landed small pieces on hits like Modern Family and Grey’s Anatomy, but the money was tough.
“We didn’t have enough money for gas. Dad didn’t drive me (to the audition) unless he knew all the lines,” Brown told BBC Radio in 2020.
At one point, her manager, Melanie Green, reportedly had to lend her family money.
Her big break was in 2016 when she was just 11 years old, when Netflix Supernatural Mega played the career-defining role that made her hit “Stranger Things” along with 55-year-old Winona Ryder and 50-year-old David Harbor.
Playing a young girl with a shaved head and psychotic abilities, the young beauty leapt out of the screen.
The role was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the age of 13.
“She is definitely the best actor on the show,” actor Alexei Affonin, who played a role in “Stranger Things” in 2020, told Page 6.
Another fellow Stranger Things actor, Chantel D. Christopher, reminded me of Bobby Brown’s upbringing and realistic nature on the set.
“She’s going to be a great mother,” she told Page 6.
After news broke that Bobby Brown had adopted a baby girl, sources told people that Brown always knew that motherhood was on the card for her.
“She’s very young, but she’s focused. And she has the biggest heart,” the person told the outlet. “There’s no doubt she’s a great mom. Almost everything she’s pointing to her heart, she crushes it.”
Sharon Sever, head designer of Gaulia Lahav, the label that created her etheric custom-made lace gowns for the couple’s Tuscan wedding, was impressed by the actress’s confident attitude.
“She’s very focused. She’s very sharp. She’s very smart,” he told Page 6. “For a young woman, she really knows what she wants. She knows what suits her and she’s not making a fuss.”
For all her Hollywood success, Brown seems to love life away from it.
“They have been really working on creating this special family life in Georgia. She loves her farm and it will be a special place for babies to grow,” the source told people.
Aphonin said that for Brown we can see the appeal of being based in the country rather than in Tinseltown.
“Acting has its ups and downs. It’s very demanding, memorizing the lines to auditions, rejections, points you don’t need to think about them. It’s huge. It’s difficult,” he said. “Why do you want to put yourself in a meat grinder? You can see she is attracted to this kind of quiet life. It’s farm, nature, dogs, farm animals, raising children. It’s beautiful. That’s the opposite of Hollywood.”
At the same time, he is skeptical that Brown will be on the farm forever.
“I’m worried that it might be a stage,” Aphonin said.
“When you put so many jobs in (roles) and you know you’re connected to the character – you know you did it well, people are applauding – you feel like you’re at the heart of the universe,” he said.
“What do you get on the farm? Look at the blue sky and the perfect clouds. It’s amazing, and that’s all.
