Kevin Costner and Kelly Noonan Gores’ new relationship is helping to “put roots down” in the actor’s life as his career struggles.
The ex-wife of “Yellowstone” alumnus and billionaire Alec Gores met through mutual friends and have kept their romance “private and casual,” US Weekly reported Tuesday.
The paper claimed that “after his public and expensive divorce (with Christine Baumgartner), he is being cautious.”
Costner and Kelly “see each other when their schedules permit, often spending time at their Santa Barbara mansion,” the source claimed.
The pair reportedly “love having dinners at home, walking on the beach, and spending quiet evenings.”
Another source clarified that Costner, 71, “is not looking to get into a serious relationship or get married right away.”
Representatives for Mr. Costner did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
In August 2025, news broke that the “Horizon” star was dating Kelly, who was previously married to Alec from 2016 to 2024.
Her relationship with Costner made headlines two years after the Golden Globe winner settled her divorce from Baumgartner, whom she split in 2023.
During their time together, the two had three children: Kayden (18), Hayes (16), and Grace (15).
Baumgartner, 51, has since married Costner’s former friend Josh O’Connor, but Costner reportedly “still resents the situation.”
Us Weekly claimed, “Part of him… wishes things had worked out. He’s upset that she remarried, but he’s trying not to focus on that.”
The Oscar winner is reportedly treating 2026 like his “year of redemption,” even though “Hollywood’s sentiment towards[him]is changing.”
One source said, “(He is) in a sense politely declining the offer…No one is making fun of him, but the calls from influential people asking for money have stopped ringing.”
Costner, in particular, made headlines for his confrontational behavior on the set of “Yellowstone” before being dropped from the show in 2024, and is facing a lawsuit over a violent unscripted rape scene in the flop Western “Horizon.”
Another source told Us Weekly that the filmmaker called the allegations “false” and “unfortunate,” but added that he has “a lot in the works” these days.
“He knows he will come back, but he never said so. He loves big ideas, risks and proving people wrong.”
