David Beckham reached out to his son Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz for a big milestone, but his attempts to bury the hatchet failed.
The iconic athlete was knighted by King Charles III in November, but Brooklyn and Peltz were notably absent from the ceremony.
Although the couple were already estranged from Brooklyn’s family at the time, sources told the Daily Mail on Friday that David had personally contacted them with an invitation.
According to sources, the personal chef, 26, and the actress, 31, decided not to accept his invitation.
David accepted the honor at Windsor Castle with his wife Victoria Beckham and their three other children, Romeo, 23, Cruise, 20, and Harper, 14.
Representatives for David, Brooklyn, and Peltz did not immediately respond to Page Six for comment.
After Brooklyn and Peltz’s wedding in April 2022, rumors of a rift between Brooklyn and his family began to fly.
It appears that the couple started cutting off contact with the Beckhams after they skipped David’s 50th birthday party in May.
Since then, the family feud has only intensified, with Brooklyn reportedly telling her parents to only contact her through her lawyer.
“David was asked to speak to them through (law firm) Schillings,” a source told the Daily Mail on Thursday. “It was the only way for them to communicate.”
In June, insiders shared similar sentiments exclusively with Page Six. Brooklyn “has said he does not want to contact his family and will not respond to those who try to contact him.”
Last month, Cruz claimed that Brooklyn blocked him and his parents on Instagram, refuting reports that David, 50, and Victoria, 51, were the ones who disrespected their eldest son.
Despite being blocked on the social media platform, David and Victoria subtly sent a message to their estranged son via their Instagram Stories.
The soccer star initially ignored his eldest son in his 2025 roundup post, but later shared a throwback photo of him and Brooklyn with the message: “I love you all so much.”
The fashion designer later reposted the sweet snap on her Instagram Story, adding a red heart emoji.
Despite cutting ties with her immediate family, Brooklyn reportedly still maintains contact with both of her grandparents.
“Brooklyn loves them dearly and knows how much pain this is causing everyone,” a source told the US Sun on Thursday.
“So he found his time and reached out, but he tried to be low-key so as not to involve them.”
A source said Peltz is an “absolute rock” for Brooklyn as they “get through this soul-crushing family feud as best they can.”
