An influencer and her teenage daughter were found dead in Brazil after neighbors noticed a strange odor coming from their apartment, local media reported.
On Friday, October 10, R7, UOL Notícias, G1 and others reported that the bodies of Lydian Alain Lorenzo, 33, a model with more than 54,000 followers on Instagram, and her 15-year-old daughter Miana Sofía Santos were found in an apartment in Barra da Tijuca, southwest of Rio de Janeiro.
According to R7, G1 reported that no signs of violence were found on the body or in the apartment, citing the 16th DP (Barra da Tijuca), the local police station leading the investigation.

Barra da Tijuca’s fire department was called to the scene after neighbors noticed a suspicious odor coming from the property. According to R7 and UOL Notícias, mother and daughter were found dead in separate rooms.
According to G1, Miana was found in the living room and her mother Lorenzo was found by authorities in one of the bedrooms.
“Forensic tests were carried out at the scene and no evidence of assault was found,” civilian police said in a statement amid an ongoing investigation, the newspaper reported.
G1 added: “The body has been autopsied, but the cause of death has not yet been determined. Further tests will be carried out.”
The newspaper, citing witnesses, said the mother and daughter were not seen for five days before being found dead.

Lorenzo and Miana, both Rio residents but originally from Santa Cecilia in Santa Catarina state in southern Brazil, were buried at the Santa Cecilia municipal cemetery on Sunday, October 12, UOL Notícias reported.
In addition to being a model and social media influencer, Lorenzo was also a medical student at a private university in Rio, according to posts on UOL Notícias and his Instagram profile.

Citing information from her family on social media, UOL Notícias pointed out that she is believed to have moved to Rio over five years ago, and that her daughter also recently moved to live with her.
Civilian police told the media: “The investigation is ongoing.”
Local police could not be reached for comment.
