“Industry” has been renewed for season 5 on HBO, which will be the show’s final season.
The series, created by Mickey Down and Conrad Kaye, will air its Season 4 finale on HBO and HBO Max on March 1 at 8pm ET/PT, an hour earlier than usual.
“We are honored to join the small and respected club of dramas that have aired on HBO for five seasons,” Down and Kaye said in a statement. “This March marks 10 years since we first envisioned the world of Industry, and it has survived because of the unwavering belief and vision of our partners and former HBO partners, Casey, Franny, Carla, Sera, Sam, Kathleen, and Max. Without Jane Tranter’s imagination and belief, this show would simply have been a dead idea in a drawer somewhere. Along with her partner at Bad Wolf, she was our guiding light and our fiercest champion. I would also like to thank you for your partnership.”
“For some time we have been thinking about the best way to end the show on an unprecedented high,” the pair continued. “Unlike some of our characters, we know when to quit the party. We want to thank our evangelical fan base, especially those who have been watching since day one. Lastly, we owe a debt of gratitude to our staff and the best cast in television for making our writing come alive.” Thanks to Crass’ performance, the characters will live on. It will never cease to be exciting to see HBO’s identities in front of our productions, and we look forward to continuing to collaborate.”
