“Industry” has been renewed for season 5 on HBO, which will be the show’s final season.

The series, created by Mickey Down and Conrad Kaye, will air its Season 4 finale on HBO and HBO Max on March 1 at 8pm ET/PT, an hour earlier than usual.

“We are honored to join the small and respected club of dramas that have aired on HBO for five seasons,” Down and Kaye said in a statement. “This March marks 10 years since we first envisioned the world of Industry, and it has survived because of the unwavering belief and vision of our partners and former HBO partners, Casey, Franny, Carla, Sera, Sam, Kathleen, and Max. Without Jane Tranter’s imagination and belief, this show would simply have been a dead idea in a drawer somewhere. Along with her partner at Bad Wolf, she was our guiding light and our fiercest champion. I would also like to thank you for your partnership.”

“For some time we have been thinking about the best way to end the show on an unprecedented high,” the pair continued. “Unlike some of our characters, we know when to quit the party. We want to thank our evangelical fan base, especially those who have been watching since day one. Lastly, we owe a debt of gratitude to our staff and the best cast in television for making our writing come alive.” Thanks to Crass’ performance, the characters will live on. It will never cease to be exciting to see HBO’s identities in front of our productions, and we look forward to continuing to collaborate.”

According to HBO, “Industry” Season 4 averaged 1.7 million viewers per episode across platforms in the U.S., about 30% more than Season 3 at the same time. The Season 4 cast includes Maihara, Marisa Abela, Kit Harington, Ken Leung, Max Minghella, Miriam Petsce, Sagar Radia, Toheeb Jimoh, Charlie Heaton, Amy James Kelly, Roger Berkeley, Andrew Havill, Kiernan Shipka, Kal Penn, Jack Farthing, Stephen Campbell Moore, Claire Forlani, and Edward Holcroft.

“For four seasons, ‘Industry’ has excited us as it examines power, money, politics and class. Mickey and Conrad’s ambitious and singular vision has cemented its place as an important genre-bending contemporary drama in HBO’s lineup that keeps viewers on their toes week after week,” said Francesca Orsi, HBO Executive Vice President of Programming and Head of HBO Drama Series and Movies. “We’re thrilled that viewers and critics agree that Season 4 is bigger and more thrilling than ever, driven by career-defining performances from our stellar cast. Along with our incredible team of Bad Wolf executive producer Jane Tranter and Little Gems executive producer Kathleen McCaffrey, we’re so proud to announce Season 5 of this amazing show as Mickey and Conrad decide to bring us to the end of Industries.” ”

The official description for Season 4 reads: “Aspiring Pierpoint graduates who have reached the pinnacle of their lives, Harper (Maihara) and Yasmin (Abella) find themselves embroiled in a high-stakes cat-and-mouse game when a flashy fintech darling suddenly appears on the London scene. Yasmin joins tech founder Sir Henry Mack (Harrington) As she explores a relationship with the world, Harper becomes drawn into her world.” As she falls into the orbit of mysterious executive Whitney Halberstrom (Mingella), their twisted friendship begins to warp and flare up under the pressures of money, power, and the desire to be on top. ”

“Industry” is created, written and executive produced by Down & Kaye. The series is an HBO/BBC Bad Wolf production, with Jane Tranter, Kate Crowther and Ryan Rasmussen serving as executive producers for Bad Wolf. Kathleen McCaffrey: Little Gems. and the BBC’s Rebecca Ferguson. This season’s managers include Down & Kay, Michelle Saville and Luke Snellin. Writers include Down, Kaye, and Joseph Charlton.

“When we first pitched the idea for “Industry” to HBO, Casey and I believed that this could be a “little engine of possibility.” Over a decade later, “Industry” has amply proven this to be true,” said Tranter, executive producer, CEO, and founder of Bad Wolf. “Mickey and Conrad has masterfully matured a raw, brilliant idea into a bold, uncompromising drama series that has been passionately praised by both critics and a devoted fan base. This drama series was created by MK’s fierce talent, HBO’s extraordinary executives, and Bad Wolf, who filmed each season. “It continues to be a great privilege to watch Mickey and Conrad and our extraordinary and beloved cast grow over the seasons.” It’s a huge accomplishment from everyone at HBO to see it occupy the position of one of HBO’s most prominent long-running drama series. ”
