Jennifer Lawrence is known for her pop culture savvy (she often makes Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise viral on social media), but her latest hot take never sits on the internet properly. While discussing “troubling relationships” as part of the “Die My Love” press tour with Robert Pattinson, the Oscar winner echoed through the love triangle at the heart of Prime Video’s “The Summer I Toved Towned.”
“I’ve been ordered not to reveal this by all my friends, but I’m a Jeremiah team. I am,” Lawrence said. “I think Conrad is toxic. He liked him but (belly) not. He left her hanging, to confess his love for her the night before her wedding got sick.
Based on Jenny Han’s popular book series, “Summer is Beautiful” centers around Laura Tun’s belly, caught up in love with her two brothers, Conrad (Christopher Bliny) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casaregno). The majority of the fandom was overwhelmingly Team Conrad, and it worked well for them as the series finale ended with Conrad and Berry a few months after the end of their engagement with Jeremiah.
Prime Video has issued several statements advised fans against making toxic social media posts through the airing of the show’s final season, which took place from July to September 17th to September 17th. In particular, Casa Legno has become a target for online harassment as fans want them to become Conrad of his character, Jeremiah. The series reminded fans that after the release of its eighth episode of its final season, it posted “The show isn’t real, but people playing the characters” and a graphic that read, “The summer when we started acting normally online.”
“There have been situations similar to adaptation in the past, where there is a fanbase that is thought to be rough and blurring the line between characters and actors. “And while we’re really grateful to them and appreciate their passion, we aim to be more proactive about what we want to encourage and setting expectations for what we probably don’t think is appropriate.”
The “The Summer I Tunder Pretty” franchise is a film designed to put together the storyline and will return to Prime Video at a later date. The film is written by Jenny Han. Jenny Han wrote a book that writes the show’s base and developed it for television with Sarah Kussaka.
Die My Love, which won Lawrence Lave reviews in Cannes, focuses on couples who got married after the birth of their children. The film is the latest from Lynn Ramsay, director “I Need to Talk About Kevin” and “You Wasn’t Really Here.” “Die My Love” will begin at the theater on November 7th at Mbi.
