Longtime Marvel star Mark Ruffalo shares his idea that ABC will pull Jimmy Kimmel into the air.
In a post in the thread, Ruffalo re-shared a report claiming Disney stocks fell 7% after ABC preempted “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” He wrote, “If they cancel his show, it’s going to go way further down. Disney doesn’t want to be what destroyed America.”
Ruffalo is a major player in Disney’s Marvel Universe and will make his support more influential as Media Titan negotiates with Kimmel in the next step. He first appeared in 2012’s “The Avengers,” appearing as the Blues Banner (aka The Hulk), reprising his roles in seven additional films and several Marvel TV shows.
The “Now You See Me” star rarely speaks first for the late-night host. Wanda Sykestaping, which will be appearing on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, has been cancelled and posted a video on Instagram protecting Kimmel and criticizing the Trump administration.
She said, “Let’s take a look. He didn’t end the Ukrainian War or settle Gaza within the first week. But he did free speech within his first year.
Fellow late night frontman Conan O’Brien took him to X to share his thoughts on the issue. He writes: “The suspension of @jimmykimmel and the promise of silence other late-night hosts to criticise the administration should disrupt everyone on the right, left and center. It’s wrong, and those of conscience know it’s wrong.”
On Wednesday, ABC pulled “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” After Nexstar Media, one of the nation’s biggest TV station owners, he vowed to pre-wire the program after “indefinitely” off the schedule and “strongly opposed” Kimmel’s comments about the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
