David Duchovny looked unrecognizable when he stepped out in a sequined skirt and blonde wig for his upcoming movie.
The iconic ’90s TV star turned heads on the set of Andrew Jay Cohen’s film “Soapbox” in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
He also wore a black semi-sheer blouse, tights and bright red lipstick.
Duchovny, 65, teamed his cheeky look with sunglasses and gray slippers.
At one point, he was spotted chatting with production staff between takes.
The actor looked even chibilier when he was walking around without a wig.
Duchovny plays an aging soap opera star opposite actress Laverne Cox in the satirical comedy, which revolves around the modern culture wars.
He is also credited as co-screenwriter with Max Barbakow.
This role is different from his usual characters, such as Fox Mulder on The X-Files.
Duchovny played the FBI agent alongside the iconic Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully) in the 11-season TV series that aired from 1993 to 2018.
He appeared as Hank Moody on the series Californication from 2007 to 2014.
The producer’s most recent film was in the Jay Duplass film See You When I See You, which was released in January.
Duchovny is married to Monique Pendlebury, whom he married last year.
The “Feel” star was married to Tea Leoni from 1997 to 2014.
The former lovers are the parents of daughter Madeline West (26) and son Kido (23).
