Ice Spice revealed that depression, not Ozempic, was the cause of her dramatic weight loss in 2024.
Last week, a fan tweeted a video of the “Boys A Liar” rapper working out. In response, another social media user wrote, “This wimpy ass video shows it’s definitely by Ozempic.”
Ice Spice, whose real name is Isis Gaston, applauded her fans and wrote, “No, I was depressed but I’m better now ❤️.”
Following revelations about her mental health, fans flooded the Barbie World host’s tweets with messages of support.
One user wrote, “I love you sister. I’m glad you’re feeling better,” while another added, “Depression is no joke. I’m glad you’re feeling better and you look amazing!!”
“Glad to hear your mental state is improving, we love you mom,” a third person commented.
A fourth netizen said: “I wish you more wins… I love the fact that you acknowledged the facts.”
In the summer of 2024, the 26-year-old sparked Ozempic rumors after she shared a mirror selfie showing off her slimmer figure.
“I’m the bad guy, I don’t know how you feel,” he captioned the now-deleted post.
After a fan asked if Hollywood’s beloved type 2 diabetes drug was the cause of Ice Spice’s “melting,” she denied the allegations while chatting with fans on X Space.
“Actually, I came here to talk briefly about that,” she said at the time, after fans complimented the way her body looked “tea.”
“Because I wish people didn’t remember the word Ozempic. That’s one thing I wish,” the “Princess Diana” host added.
“Oh my god! What the hell is Ozempic? What is that? Really, what is that?”
Ice Spice said she got her new look by working out, eating healthier and being proactive for “Y2K.” tour.
“For example, haven’t you lazy ladies heard of the gym? It’s called the gym, it’s called healthy eating, it’s called touring,” she explained.
“What’s going on? Maybe sitting at home all day makes it easier to stay big.”
Last year, Ice Spice said after gaining some weight back that she was “very happy to be fat again.”
