After a week of engagement in the UK and a reunion with his father, King Charles, Prince Harry took a surprise halt before returning to California.
The 40-year-old Duke of Sussex spent the Friday, September 12th on his second unannounced visit to Ukraine this year. It was to show his support for wounded, sick, and wounded members of the army following more than three years of war.
He spent the day in the capital Kyiv with his Invictus Games Foundation, which hosts Paralympic-style competitions for veterans and military members after being invited to the Ukrainian government. The Guardian, a British newspaper, first reported the news. “I had to make sure my wife (Meghan Markle) and the UK government were OK. Then the official invitation came.”

In an interview with the Guardian, Harry said after taking a train domestically, “We cannot stop the war, but all we can do is do everything we can to help with the recovery process.”
He added: “We can continue to humanize the people involved in this war and what they are going through, and we need to keep it at the forefront of people’s minds.
In a video shared by the Ukrainian Railway on Instagram, Harry was seen getting off a train called “Super Royal – Express” in Kiev and greeting people waiting for this arrival.
“In Ukraine, in addition to everything else, the prince intends to provide in detail the new initiatives for the support and rehabilitation of injured (people),” the translated caption read in part.

Ukraine has been a member of Invictus Games since 2017. However, the contest not only drives injured to illness with new challenges, but also tackles the long-term recovery of those caught in conflict.
In April, Harry visited LVIV in the west of the country and saw a superhuman centre where patients receive free prosthetics, surgery and psychological support.
He met founder Olga Rudnieva in the United States a few months ago.
“I bumped into Olga in New York. It was a random meeting. I asked her what I could do. She said, “The biggest impact you have is coming to Kiev.” “Harry said to the Guardian.

However, the highlight of the visit was the much-anticipated reunion with his estranged father, King Charles.
Harry met his father early on the evening of Wednesday 10th September at Clarence House, the King’s House in London. He was within about 55 minutes before departing for an evening engagement.
This was the first in-person meeting between father and son in 19 months, and following tips earlier this year, the settlement could be on the horizon. Prince Harry’s new aide and one of the king’s main staff met for the first time in July.
“It was a good first step,” an insider told people at the time. “It’s always better to talk.”
Following this week’s reunion, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the king has private tea at Clarence House with Prince Harry, saying no further details will be shared.
A spokesman for the Duke of Sussex reflected the same, reiterating that the father and son met for tea and that there would be no further comments.
Sources told people he was looking forward to Prince Harry reaching Britain in a “positive” mood and connecting with his cause.
“He’s in a really good headspace and I look forward to seeing his charity and everyone that’s what makes him care,” the source said.
