On the Nov. 5 episode of the New Heights podcast, Kelsey’s brother Jason asked Kelsey if he wanted to share anything about his plans or his “personal life.” Mr. Kelce ended the question with a laugh and said, “No, that’s not possible.”
So far, the Chiefs tight end has been under the radar since the team’s last game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Swift was photographed having dinner with friend Gigi Hadid in New York City on Thursday and Monday night before the game. It’s unclear whether Kelce has joined her in the city or plans to meet her in the future, or somewhere else.
At this point, the couple will likely keep the exact plans for his week-long vacation to themselves. But they have a lot of work to do, as a source told Us Weekly on Oct. 28 that they are actively planning their wedding, and the outlet also reported that they are looking for a forever home.
According to sources, the couple’s wedding plans are “progressing steadily.” “They’re both[very]involved, and Taylor thinks it’s cute that Travis wants to help.” The source added that the two prefer a low-key family life, adding, “They both have prominent careers, so it feels good to have simplicity and normal life together.”
Another source said they really don’t unplug when they’re together: “They love to turn off their phones and don’t have any distractions.”
Swift herself revealed her dreams of a quiet life with Kelsey in her song “Wi$h Li$t” from The Life of a Showgirl. In the chorus, she sang: “All I want is you/A couple of kids/The whole block looks like you/We tell the world to leave us alone…and they do/Wow/I was dreaming/In the driveway/At the basketball hoop/Boss, calm down.”
She told Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe that Kelce taught her that she could hope for such a future for herself. “When I met Travis, I started to feel a little bit like maybe I too could be someone who has romantic whims and can have these dreams.”
She added, “I don’t know if you’ve seen the movie ‘Happy Gilmore,’ but he has a happy place and he goes into exactly the utopia he wanted. It’s a place he mentally escapes to when he’s stressed, pressured, anxious, confused. And the chorus of that song is just me explaining what my happy place is.”
