Travis Kelce’s game day outfit was a subtle nod to Taylor Swift’s recent look ahead of Sunday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end arrived at Arrowhead Stadium wearing khakis, sunglasses and a beige and navy plaid Louis Vuitton shirt.
The pattern on his shirt was nearly identical to the tartan skirt Swift wore to dinner in New York City on Tuesday night.
According to a report from Page Six, Swift was spotted making a solo entrance to West Village hotspot Eighty Six rocking a Miu Miu mini.
This isn’t the first time Kelsey has taken inspiration from the pop star’s penchant for plaid pieces.
In November 2024, NFL players attended the Chiefs game against the Panthers wearing We11done’s blue and red plaid half-zip shirt ($1,461).
The outfit was an interesting choice considering Swift has a habit of wearing plaid ensembles.
The 35-year-old “Cruel Summer” singer famously wore Versace’s red plaid blazer-skirt set while attending a game against the Denver Broncos in November 2024.
A month earlier, she opted for a Vivienne Westwood plaid corset and skirt two-piece for a game against the New Orleans Saints.
Other memorable plaid ensembles included a black and white Carolina Herrera coat and skirt for a girls’ night out, and a 2024 VMA outfit consisting of an eye-catching yellow bustier with a matching train over hot pants.
On Sunday, Swift was in the stands cheering Kelce, 36, on against the Detroit Lions from a private suite.
Swift was joined in the VIP suite by Caitlin Clarke. The WNBA superstar and Swift were spotted having a friendly chat.
In another sweet moment, Swift was seen giving a warm hug to Travis’ father, Ed Kelce, who was wearing his son’s jersey number.
Swift wore a black Chiefs jersey and accessorized with fun gold dangle earrings and a gold necklace.
She also carried a playful silver manicure to her fiancé’s home game.
