Travis’ father, Ed Kelse, shared that his son actually popped the question a few weeks before the August 26th official Instagram announcement.
“Travis actually made the proposal two weeks ago, not two weeks ago,” Ed told Cleveland News 5. He added that Travis initially wanted to “plan out something spectacular and make it a big special event,” but Ed encouraged him to keep it simple. “I told him repeatedly, you can do it on the side of the road, when you take one knee and ask her to marry you, you can do it in a place that makes it a special event.”

“He took her there and they were about to go out for dinner and he said, “Let’s go out and have some wine.” They went out there and that’s when he asked her,” Ed shared.
The couple then faceted their families to share the news. Ed was practicing with the Philadelphia Eagles when he received a call from the newly engaged couple.
“I got a Facety Time call from them. As soon as I saw Facety Time, I saw it was Travis and I saw it with him, Taylor.
Ed also said that seeing couples is “really neat” that they are “innate with each other.” He added: “They are just two young people.
