Tom Brady is “happy” with his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen and Joaquin Valente.
“He’s happy in a simple way. He’s happy that she’s happy,” a source told Daily Mail Sunday newspaper.
“In the future, he might remarry and want her to accept that. So he has to be okay with that,” the source added.
“If he’s upset, that means he still has feelings for her, and if he doesn’t want to see his mother happy and move on, that would be unfair to the children.”
The source also claimed that the former New England Patriots quarterback, 48, had to learn a lot after splitting from both Bundchen, 45, and Bridget Moynahan, the mother of his eldest son Jack, 18.
“He had to move on from two different significant relationships and two mothers of his children,” the source added.
“He’s learned a lot along the way and is progressing well to the next stage. He’s very mature about it and never lets it hurt him in a negative way,” the source said.
“That’s life and everyone’s happy. It’s the holiday season and he’s not going to invite drama where it doesn’t need to be.”
Sources say Brady, who shares son Benjamin, 16, and daughter Vivian, 13, with Bundchen, won’t pay much attention to the supermodel’s love life.
“They are living separate lives and what really matters is the safety and well-being of their children,” the source said. “That’s all that matters to Tom.”
The source also claimed that Bundchen told her ex-girlfriend that she intended to marry Valente, 38.
“It was no secret to[Brady],” a source told the Daily Mail. “They still have to talk about the kids, which are usually very brief, but she doesn’t want to keep important milestones, timelines, and of course her marriage a secret.”
Page Six reached out to representatives for Brady and Bündchen, but did not immediately receive a response.
On Friday, Page Six exclusively reported that Bündchen and Valente secretly married last month.
The couple, who started dating in 2022, were surrounded by a small group of friends and family at home.
A source said of Valente, who gave birth to a son with the former Victoria’s Secret Angel in February, “He is happy to finally be able to get married after having a child.”
After news of their marriage broke, Brady took to Instagram to share a gulp of himself playing soccer while flexing his pecs.
Brady and Bündchen were married from 2009 to 2022.
