Exactly one year after The Handmaid’s Tale’s final season premiered, its sequel is coming to Hulu.
The new 10-episode series Testaments is based on Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale sequel novel of the same name and takes place several years after the action of the original series.
Chase Infinity, who broke out in “One Battle After Another,” leads “Testament” as Agnes Mackenzie (also known as June/Offred’s daughter Hannah in “The Handmaid’s Tale”). The series follows Agnes and Daisy (Lucy Halliday), teenagers coming of age in Gilead, as they navigate the hallways of Aunt Lydia’s prep school for their future wives, as they grapple with a bleak future.
Ann Dowd will reprise her role as Aunt Lydia from The Handmaid’s Tale in the new sequel.
“Testament” release date
The first three episodes of “The Testes” were released on Hulu today, April 8th, and are currently available to stream.
